That game was in Jackson at Memorial Stadium.

My dad and I were sitting in the "bowled-in" end zone that day, and Glen Young was running right towards us as he crossed the goal line on that kickoff return.

In the clip, I saw #99 Johnie Cooks (LB). That guy was a hoss. Drafted in the first round of the 1982 NFL Draft . . . second player drafted.

Just looking at their boards and I'm not sure they care about this year.

Nearly 100% of their posts are about Joe Burrow or last year. They're gonna live in the bask of that glow for a long time. I literally had to find a needle in a haystack to read anything related to this year's team. The upset's coming boys.

I missed the Alabama game 2 weeks earlier, but I was there for that one. It was a glorious day. Funny, I always remember his other TD in that game more.

I wish I had been with you. Those were some magical, but short years in the early 80's.

Shoutout to Kelvin Love as well, thought he was awesome on the '99 team while rocking the 8.

The 80 team is probably my favorite of all time. Good offense, outstanding defense. One of the few bad memories I have of that year is that USM didn't just beat us, they drubbed us 42-14. The same year we beat Miami in their house, LSU, Bama, Illinois and Auburn (in their house).
