Either Walrus goes or Byrne might as well go....

Kiss *** time with Greg is over as far as I'm concerned until Croom is spotted hiking down Hwy 82. The Cohen hire was a nice splash but let's be honest, John would have crawled back to Starkville. All it took was someone with sense enough to make him the #1 candidate. This situation is a defining moment for Byrne. Either he cans this lazy *** clown or he declines to LT status in my book real quickly. I don't want to hear any more "well, there's no viable candidates right now" either cause at this point, I'd be willing to take a shot on anyone with a pulse and a whistle. Hell, we'll buy him a damn whistle. Anyone is more viable than Croom's moronic *** right now. Rock bottom, Hello.</p>

1. Who authorized it and signed off on it ?
2. What was their reasoning ?
It may have been posted here or elsewhere but I don`t think I`ve ever seen what I would consider the facts about that part of the Croom debacle in detail.

that if we tank the season and Byrne doesn't fire Croom, then strike one against Byrne.

Okay, so we tanked the season. Now we'll see...

Everyone just better hope that the son learns from the mistakes of the father. Bill Byrne hiring Mike Sherman at Texas A&M for Franchione's spot might turn out to be the worst college coaching move of last year's carousel.

Come to think of it, Coach Fran would be a good fit in Starkville. Proven SEC winner. Good recruiter. Lots of experience. Plus, a CoachFran.com vs. Gene's Page rivalry would be fun to follow.
