Surprised no one has commented on the solid game EJ played tonight. Double digit rebounds, assist and block shots. The long assist for Quickley's 3 was great. There have been so many diss him, it's about time he get credit. He doesn't look like the same player, and he's having fun playing college basketball at Kentucky, he's got confidence now. I didn't get to listen to the post game, what did Cal say about EJ?

He has been great in this 7 game win streak . Not a bad game in a while . He was in foul trouble last game but when he was in he good too. And when he isn't in foul trouble he is making defensive play after play and grabbing boards , making free throws and dunking.

Relly proud of EJ tonight. Rebounded really well, had some nice blocks and some really good hustle plays. Good to see him contributing and playing better.
UK's bench has got to help though. Basically nothing tonight That won't get it done.

Cal said it was the best game he has ever seen him play. He was focused in on rebounding (10) and making quick passes to the open man. Played a really smart game. That foul on him going for the ball another ridiculous call. They was dying to add a free throw to it also but the replay was too obvious should have been a no call. Both players going after the ball and hit simultaneously.

We are becoming a very, very solid team. If we cut down the turnovers, we are gonna be scary good. Also, we pretty much won without Nick tonight, which was great to see. The fouls really kept him from getting in the game and we still had a comfortable lead, the entire game. I know he is still gonna have great games but the point is we one even with him down. It's great when you have a team that can win, no matter who is out. We have done it multiple times this year, injuries, foul trouble etc. Now we are fairly healthy ( I hope and pray we stay that way) look what our guys are putting together. We are a legit title contender and this has become one of my favorite teams. We have got to watch players grow and Cal get more involved in working with this group. Other years he has kind of let the players do their own thing, at times. It has cost us before and I'm glad to see him with this energy. I think he knows he has a legitimate shot at a title and next year we might as well. He is so close to becoming the college coach. I hope K retires soon and we get to finally be number one in titles. In the next decade, it is a strong possibility. I appreciate these players, our coach and fans like us, who bleed blue. No team will ever have this passion behind them. Here is to hoping for number nine and hoping I get to share it with you guys.

I think his main problem was when he got the ball down on the block, he didn't know what to do with it when he got it. He's starting to see guys open and hitting them in perfect spots. He's drastically improved on not charging when he's that close too. He does have a perimeter game, but only take those shots when he's open. He's coming around at the right time.

Pretty good game for the big guy. I liked his hustle and effort. He seems to be gaining confidence on the court, and developing into a steady contributor for the Cats!
