Yea, at this point, I don't see him deserving more than Peyton. Either way, it means even bigger Christmas presents for Cooper. Score on that one.

obscene salaries. I don't blame the players for taking the money, but that kind of money is ridiculous.

In what was considered Eli Manning's "breakout" year in 2007, he had a QB rating that shot him up to 25th in the league. Last year, he finished 14th behind superstar Seneca Wallace.

Take away Eli's last name and he is known as a pretty good NFL QB at best. You'd have to twist the stats to turn him into a Top 10 QB in the league, much less a Top 10 overall player. Becoming the highest paid player in the NFL is amazing.

Good work to his agent, though. Especially with this coming right after Eli's meltdown last weekend.

............move him into a domed stadium where the wind doesn't blow, they might regret the expenditure of money a few years from now.

Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I think Eli is a decent QB. He's just not a future Hall of Famer.

then it was quickly revived as soon as Giants were reported to offer him $120 Million. You are out of your mind if you think he deserves that because of a Super Bowl MVP title. Give him a nice pay raise? Sure. Highest paid player in the league? Laughable.

those kind of even out.

I really just wish someone would give me 120 freaking million dollars. It's ridiculous that any athlete in any sport can make that much money.

to Stephon Marbury. $22M this year to sit on the bench and watch the Knicks play.

...are tossed around in as much a free-wheeling manner as the TARP bailout money.

Unless you are Jack Cristil's age, in your lifetime, you will see a pro athlete get paid 1/2 a billion dollars.

Eli was throwing ducks that his receivers were catching. He made some good throws but several times I was amazed at him throwing into double coverage and the receiver just making the play. He is a little better than average and has the name Manning. There are ALOT better QBs in the NFL. He doesn't even deserve the Pro Bowl.
