Interesting situation developing at Oregon that could influence Brown's decision. Oregon G Tyler Dorsey has declared for draft and signed with agent. Their two other stars, Brooks and Bell, haven't decided yet. Should they stay, Brown could potentially plug in for Dorsey on a very good team with 11th ranked recruiting class coming in. However, if the two decide to go pro, Oregon I believe becomes less attractive if Brown is looking for a team that could potentially make a run.
It is an interesting set of dominoes about to fall over the next handfull of days. I hope it doesn't take too long... the suspense is too much, waiting to see what CCC and staff do to fill out the 2017/18 roster.
TBH, my ideal scenario for best possible 17/18 roster is landing Brown as a grad transfer and Clifton Moore as a freshman. E Brown would, in my scenario, platoon with Lindsey and Law as wings with nearly equal playing time over the season, sticking more with the hot hand from game to game. AG provides good competitive depth at wing. Moore provides more depth at the 4 and has time to develop behind Falzon and Rap; redshirt if possible as was planned for Pardon. Skelly plugs in at 4 or 5 off bench depending on matchups and/or to provide energy when needed. I Brown backs up BMac with Ash as depth.
The good news for me is that I think this scenario is still very much possible. The Cats would be a very tough out. I think one of I Brown or Ash will emerge as a very capable backup at the lead guard position this season, so I'm less concerned about finding a PG in this recruiting cycle.
This is, of course, all predicated on E Brown buying into the system on both ends of the floor. Gotta play all out defense when in the game, and need to seek quality shots or create for others. Being a coaches' son, I have to imagine he's very coachable.
