Email that is making the Auburn rounds...titled "What Actually Happened"
<span><span style="color: rgb(31, 73, 125); font-size: 10pt;"></span></span>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(31, 73, 125);">Auburn
faithful, what happened in this whole situation is this:
Cam wanted to go to MSU. MSU was his first
choice, and Mullen was his favorite coach. (Swallow it, he wanted MSU). Rogers, did in fact go to MSU to try and get money,
although he was not sent by the Newton’s.
Rogers saw an
easy opportunity to get some cash, and himself out of debt, and took the
chance. He lost out.
Think about it for a second, Newton
was tight with Mullen, he would often visit the Mullens and their newborn
child. When Mullen heard through the grapevine that Newton
wanted money, he responded like any coach would, any friend would, any father
would, and called Newton immediately and
questioned him "Cam, what is this BS
about you wanting money to play for me." Cam
denied the whole thing, stating he did know what mullen was talking about. so
they figured out what the deal was, and refused to play the game that the
scammer rogers
was attempting.
Newton’s dad
got word of this, and thought about the situation. He knew his son would soon
enough be in the NFL, with the talent he has, and making the big bucks. He
knows what talent the NFL has, since his other son plays in it. He knew Cam would be a sure first rounder. He didn’t want his son
to be involved with MSU in the event that this came back up.
Auburn got on Newton, and ended up signing him. Auburn knew going into this matter, the scam that Rogers tried to play.
They investigated it, along with the NCAA and SEC. They determined that Newton was eligible at Auburn and NO VIOLATIONS had been committed. Newton’s dad saw the best
chance for his son to be one and done, with Auburns senior line, and offensive
coordinator Gus Malzahan.
Newton’s dad told Cam to go to Auburn. Newton
felt bad because he wanted to go play for his friend, his coach, a fatherly
figure, in mullen.
Cam made the call, and told MSU that he was going to Auburn. That the whole deal money deal was
just too much (meaning that with the Rogers
scam, that he and his dad didn’t want skeletons in the closet, especially with
what had already happened at Florida
with the computers).
Cam probably did in fact cheat at Florida on
those papers, but nothing came of it, it was not going to the student council,
and he left that at Florida.
This is why they are not denying the allegations...
There is going to be a big law suit coming from this and the Newton’s. I would also expect that Auburn will have some
lawsuits filed also regarding the liable and slander that has been going on
through the media.
Cam Newton is eligible to play at Auburn.
That is the end of the story. Period. Auburn and
the Newton’s
cannot talk about the details, due to the NCAA investigation. The NCAA, the
SEC, and Auburn compliance dept has found
nothing incriminating to place Newton
ineligible.
This whole smear campaign, the media blowing it up like the invasion or pearl
harbor, is very unfair to Cam Newton, his family, and Auburn University. No
matter what I write here, or on any website, how many email I send to
journalist, or anything else that I can do for this matter will change a damn
thing.
I know it will be hard to do, but it would be best to stop writing all these
stories and speculations on the bunker. There is no need to go fight or defend
ourselves on the main board, or any other blog, or forum out there. The quicker
that Auburn
drops it, the faster it will go away. Auburn fans getting their panties in a
wad, are only fueling the fire. If for any reason Cam
doesn’t play, then start worrying. Until then, enjoy the 10-0 start we have to
this great season. There is a lot more at stake here, than trying to smash some
internet rumors.
Please, for the love and dedication that you have to Auburn University,
just stop talking about and replying to all this "Garbage"... Our
coaches are as close to this situation as anybody, and they can talk about it
to each other, Chizik and Jacobs would not, and I will repeat, would NOT allow
him to play if there was any doubt. Be big boys and girls, let it go, stop
talking about it, talk about Auburn vs Ga and
then let’s focus on the turds. We owe both of them a beating, and I think it’s
coming... Ga this Saturday, and the turds on the 26th....
Lets hope we get some of Jort univ in December, then let’s go duck hunting (no
Pun intended)...

Auburn is blessed to have Newton, and if the situation had went any
different, we wouldn’t have him, he would be at MSU, and they would be sitting
10-0. Mullen is running a good program, they are winning, and playing everyone
good, Newton would
have pushed them to the top, just like he did for us.
And another thing, Auburn fans should be proud of Newton and his dad. Cecil Newton did the
right thing, even when money was involved, he turned it down. "The devil
will tempt you in many ways". I don’t know for sure, but I have to believe
that MSU was willing to pay. Newton's dad saw "When God's blessing, the
devil will be messing" in this situation...
Money from MSU was not a blessing, in fact, if they got caught, it would ruin
their family name, kill his church, etc...
There are people in this world that firmly believe that there is more to life
than money. That God will walk with them through the shadows and darkness, and
comfort them until the end. The Newton’s
are good people, in a really bad situation, and are walking though it like a
Men of God should. This is what Auburn
is trying to instill in its players, why would Cecil want his son to go
anywhere else. Auburn made the commitment to
walk with Cam through it all, if this ever came to light, and Newton gave his commitment to auburn. It’s
that simple. Newton is eligible, he will play
the rest of the year, and might come back next year now, because of what the
Univ of Auburn and its fans have done for the Newton’s. they are standing by them through
thick and thin, so be careful what you say or spread. Everyone is claiming why
are they not fighting this, well The Newton’s are godly people, and God teaches
them to turn the other cheek. That is all I am going to say.
