fire Balis, hire a new strength coach and then fire him next week, and hire a new guy and then fire him the next day and then hire someone else.

We'll have the strongest team in the history of college football.

unless it's a two-page picture spread at the front of SI.

Then it's a freaking harbinger of doom.

It actually has good production values for such an off the wall event. I'm waiting for a guy to lose his arms on the Hercules Hold.

tote the stone replica of Africa back and forth?

I thought that was a bad air time filler until televised card playing showed up on every other channel.

it's maximum effort," and that's helped Brignone and the others push through the self-imposed barriers of the subconscious.

Does this mean they are telling the team that we can stay within 14 points of LSU.

...I think Balis has made a significant difference. I am not sure ALL the hype is all true, but I do know, from having watched most practices, that the team is generally bigger, faster, and stronger. How that translates into wins, I don't know. In order for me to change the earlier season prediction of 5-7, we will have to have some major contributions from true freshmen, and that is difficult for any freshman in the SEC. I do know we will have vastly improved special teams. Had we had Brauchle and Hutchins last year, we would have gone 6-6, maybe 7-5, and people wouldn't be picking us last in the SEC West this year.

Backer...considering that you have said that the team is bigger, stronger, and faster under each and every strength coach since the start of the internet, exactly how big, strong, and fast are they now?

I'm think you have a team of 8' world class sprinters who bench press Toyotas for exercise. You do realize that it isn't possible to get bigger, stronger, and faster every year, right?

Ate a pound of bacon with eggs for breakfast and three candy bars for one of his six meals during training "for calories".

before? You say it every damn year. And I don't have GP membership to prove it, but everyone knows it. How would a player know what the hell you have said in the past?

Or did you just throw the player in your post to show off your jocksniffing skillz?

I think what happens is when a new strength coach comes in, he has an all new method of conditioning. Over time the players adjust to this method, get less excited about it, and have slower gains over time. Then another new strength coach comes with new methods. The new methods shock the body and excite the team bringing rapid improvement. Then over time...........

There may be some legitimacy to the "keep firing and hiring strength coaches" joke earlier (obviously done less often that daily or weekly).

...and that is my sole exception to this string. I am "credited" for saying the whole team appears to be bigger, faster, and stronger every year, and that is simply not true. Yes, I am sure I have said something similar one or two years out of the past 15 years I have been on the internet, but to claim I say it every year is utter ********. I don't mind being called on posts I make which are wrong. I take ownership when I am wrong, but this is not one of those times.
