I understand wanting to get the call right, but that review looked to be never in doubt. Not sure what they were looking at. Certainly not enough evidence to think the clock started too late.
Yea. The shot barely got off though. I think that and osu is why it took so long.I understand wanting to get the call right, but that review looked to be never in doubt. Not sure what they were looking at. Certainly not enough evidence to think the clock started too late.
I actually think if you deducted the time that should have come off, shot shouldn't have counted. It was close though.they were looking to see if the clock started when the Minny player touched it after he picked it up on the roll
IM A CONVINCED THEY DID THIS BECAUSE OF THE RU SCREW VS OHIO STATE AND WERE INSTRUCTED THEY CANNOT LET SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAPPENED AGAIN

The ref has a little button to press to start the clock. If he was too late in doing that, that is a problem.
HOWEVER.. I just found a video clip shown in real time. Most of the videos they showed in the aftergame review were slow motion. I downloaded a shot clock video with tenths. I sync'd the shot clock at 5.8 seconds to the real-time video.. he got the shot off with 0.2 remaining. I went frame by frame.
Now.. since they showed slow-motion replays mostly.. maybe that "real time replay" was sped up in some way. It is possible.
And if you recall.. they ADDED time when that Minny player pushed Caleb OOB without them making a call.
My problem is not the shot clock.. yeah.. we GAVE that game away. Paul Mulcahy has been playing like crap. But there were several calls in that game that were highly suspect. Like an offense foul on a pick by Cliff that was essentially a trip.. that was called.. arguably correct.. but Minny does the same damn thing later and trips Paul and that was NO CALL. Plenty of cases of stuff like that.. like Hyatt gets a charge call and Minny does not in same situation. That is two possessions stolen from us by refs.
0.2 is what I saw too. Clock start was delayed by at least 0.3 just to naked eye. So, while certainly not the same as Ohio State steal, a steal nonetheless. The ref has a little button to press to start the clock. If he was too late in doing that, that is a problem.

A ball was called out of Cliff when it was clear that a Minny player knocked it out.. no review on that one when they called for review many times, always giving the ball to Minny.
Those calls and no-calls, imho, could have been working the point spread.. which was in jeopardy one way or the other during that timeframe. 8.5 points it was. YEAH.. it should not have mattered.. we LOST that game but without those calls and no-calls our implosion would have had enough of a cushion to win anyway.I texted that to someone, it was the exact same play when Paul tried to play the screener high and he got tripped and I’m like ok call that, and led to a bucket. The Hyatt offensive foul was questionable too.
Agree but that was ridiculous!!!! I never had a doubt we lost BUT when they huddled on the court I said "Wow are they actually going to overturn this?" Why else did they move from the video screen to the court to disucss? Weird and Waaaaaayyyyyy to long. Embarassingthey were looking to see if the clock started when the Minny player touched it after he picked it up on the roll

This should have happened in the OSU game @ OSU....It's NOT too LATE!!!!!I understand wanting to get the call right, but that review looked to be never in doubt. Not sure what they were looking at. Certainly not enough evidence to think the clock started too late.
