If true he won't be coaching on Friday. We'll have our answer tomorrow, and then you can shut the f****** for once. Or be happy that he's gone and shut the f****** for once.
Not picking sides; only liking because I love your attitude and your post is funny as f@ck!

I’m saying with better coaching Drake would be a two timer. Tell me he has gotten so much better. It doesn’t matter. I’m just blowing off steam. That’s all this page is good for anymore. I don’t know ****. Slowly fading to not giving a **** anyway.

I'm complete opposite. Nothing about Ayala coming in made me think he'd be a two time finalist, let alone at multiple weights (in fact I thought it was dumb to move up to 133). Solid top 6 guy maybe, maybe a third like DeSanto if he caught a heater in the tourney, but he's exceeded my expectations twice. Wish he hadn't froze in his couple finals matches, but you only get to freeze under the brightest lights if you are actually there to begin with.

I'm on record as believing it's time for change but... anyone who doesn't think nearly every coach in every high level program in the country isn't pushing injured guys to get back in action asap has their head in the sand.
From TnTs perspective if the team docs said a cortisone shot would get Endene back soon and he was refusing, I can see where they'd be frustrated and even applying some pressure. That's always been a part of competitive sports.
I am fairly certain most cases are the competitors themselves pushing themselves to get back out there. Hell, wasn’t part of the reason Nicky pushups left Penn State was because he wasn’t given permission to wrestle with his ankle injury? Even if that is a naive take because coaches want to put their team in the best position to win, do you not see the difference in asking an athlete to compete through pain and forcing his hand? I have never heard of an incident of punitive punishment before.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Drake take this match, he's facing a lot of bs right now. I'm sure he's taking his fall way more seriously than any of us.
Make a statement tomorrow night Drake!
You have it in you!
A win tomorrow night will set the ship on the right course!

I get that. Can you label it under a very general category? Like discipline, medical, or NIL?
Uhhhmmm, No. You can disclose X amount of things. They didn't disclose anything, which is very much a Coachspeak thing. It is what it is.

I dont predict more than 3 team takedown tomorrow night. 1 from Angelo, 1 from Ben, the other from either Dean or Drake. Problem is Dean or Drake will also likely give up one sobthey need two. Trust me I never use to be this bad but this team has beaten any ounce of hope out of me. And that didn't happen overnight

3 team takedown
9 stalls against us.

You’re not wrong, but kicking him off the team is a gross overreaction, and if there was meddling in a wrestling decision from a donor, that’s a huge issue. Of course, we still don’t know what’s true and what’s not, so who knows.

Wasn’t the word on the street a few years ago that he wasn’t even rolling around with Drake to help him?
Not fair. He was hurt and wrestling at most 7 mins a week. That’s no joke. How could he have been rolling with Drake. They get along great now and Drake was pissed at his mom for saying anything. Let’s not characterize this behavior in any kind of way. Thanks.

If this is true, the only thing surprising to me is that a lot of people are surprised by this.
Right!!! I hate to say this about Tom but he’s had differing opinions on several different wrestlers injuries. Including the head man at big game. That’s the primary reason for his departure from and resentment of his time at Iowa. I say this now because it’s well known and a prime example of this happening before, if in fact, it happened now.

Assuming he truly was "kicked off the team"?
Regardless I can't help but feel like the presence of $ isn't helping situations like these.

Tyler Knox is not Drake Ayala. I'm calling it now, Drake gets out of his funk and takes him out tomorrow night in Carver.
Huge DA fan but the PSU staff will have him scouted out. Don't pressure in or he'll hit his slide by, and watch out for his lefty sweep single. Drake can get out from bottom and can ride a bit but no turns. I'd absolutely favor Blaze in scrambles but Drake will go a full 7 minutes hard. To me, it would be an upset if DA wins but I hope he does!

Do a little digging or talk to some guys who competed at a high level. Just bc it doesn't get reported a lot doesn't mean it's not happening. It's been a part of high level competition forever. Hell it got bad enough at Bama even the king himself Nick Saban took some heat over "cutting" injured players a few years ago.

Exactly, I know the hatred for Tom is strong in some, but use some common sense. Why in the hell would Tom (or any other D1 coach) just randomly kick a guy off the team (especially a highly ranked starter) with no explanation to them. I have no idea what happened, but I am 100% certain it wasn't that.
******** you didnt know what happened lmfao

I used to take off work every March just to watch the tournament. Saw this train wreck coming a couple years back and I’ve been checked out ever since. Really sucks.
Think how achieve feels. He relocated to follow the hawk program, donates and had to change his nameback in in disgust. Damn spellcheck.

I am pretty sure the opposite was true wrt Suriano, he was hurt and they were pushing him to wrestle.
