From the 3-5 and 19-21 could we cut roughly every other row in half and extend the opposite rows to give more room for seating/ chairbacks?
I know that it l wouldn't be cheap.
That would cut the seating down but we could charge premium seating prices to help offset. The seats at lose, we would add back in the SEZ.

Why don't we just win games and fill up the stadium like real teams and fans?
I think the stadium is too big for what we are going to realistically put on the field for a product most years. We were winning games under Leach and Mullen and outside of a couple of years it wasn’t packed minus a couple of times a year and even then a lot of times it wasn’t packed without visiting fans buying a lot of tickets. We need to chair back, mirror the east upper deck to the west with those premium spots up top, and bowl in the SEZ with nothing but premium seating and overall reduce capacity to about 55k. We can fill that and it would significantly reduce the chances of something like Tennessee / Georgia crowds happening to us again. It would also make our stadium not look like a G5 school with an open end zone. We are currently the only sec school without a bowled in stadium. It looks small time, even if the atmosphere isn’t.

Yes but I'm asking would that solve the solution to putting chairbacks between the 20s for example. If it were possible that would cut the capacity in half in those areas and to replace those, you add seats to the SEZ

After years of people saying the rise and run of the west and east can't fit chairbacks. I did a measurement of the lower west rows to the 100
Level rows. The 100 level rows are about 2-3 inches wider than the lower. It isn't much.

also there are back rest on some of the lower rows on the west side. LSU has back rest. Add some back rest.

A portion of the west side upper has chairbacks. The rise and run up there is all the same. The entire upper west side could be chairbacks.

The NEZ needs to be fitted into those "balconies" or loge type sitting. The students need to move to section 16-21 to fill the east side.

As was said, we don't have the fans to fill that stadium as it is configured now, even on our best years.

Ole Miss is #4 and they had lots of empty seats yesterday . It’s hard for a state as small as Mississippi to support 2 programs.
It’s too expensive for just about anybody to go to every game. Not only that, but if you have kids, there is always something going on. My wife bought me tickets for a game last year (one of those where you can choose what game after you buy it) and I almost didn’t get to go because there were no free weekends. Thank god I was able to make it for a game last year. It was awesome*******

all that to say, I agree with dropping the total number of seats and installing more premium seating

There are some crazy long rows on the lower west side.
Sitting right in the middle of a row 19, section 5. It’s a long way out to pee! Lol!
During the Tennessee game, an older lady and her friends wanted to know why I couldn’t go out the other way, as I tried to pass in front of them. 😬
