Did we even offer him? It doesn't show an offer from us on one recruiting site. I wonder if Michigan has the inside track now.

to the Iowa board ........ exit stage left (just gonna lurk .. no posting)

You will see a lot of people wanting to jump ship. From the sounds of it, Kirk yankee his offer because he visited somewhere else. Which means Calloway more than likely downs t have an offer anymore.

I can't wait until that idiot leaves. You don't go yanking kids scholarships who are top 100 players. The hypocritical part is that he allows kids to visit Iowa even if they are committed somewhere else. Iowa will continue down the path of mediocrity until that moron leaves.

I don't understand it. What is the harm in a kid visiting elsewhere? Kirk is here to collect a check until he retires and maybe win a few games. I never understood what people meant by "Iowa is ok with being mediocre and 7 wins" until now. I always took it at a dig to fans and myself. But with how the buy out is arranged, and crap like this, I get it. It's about the institution. I won't be buying tickets or buying Hawkeye gear until that money sucker is gone.

I don`t visit your board at all, are you the norm or the exception to the norm among Hawk fans on this topic?

Didn't he donate a wing to university hospital or something? Maybe the fix is in.

As far as being ok with 7 wins a year? It seems that the majority of fans are not happy. But of course you do have your guys that say well this is Iowa blah, blah, blah.

How about with Ferentz pulling an offer if a kid visits elsewhere?

Kind of an interesting situation for Michigan. We currently have 3 RBs "committed." In the last few months the staff has spent a huge effort on Najee Harris, the #1 RB and overall player according to rivals. What once seemed like a long shot now seems possible though certainly not probable. During this whole thing the belief is that if Michigan could pull off the flip (from Bama) it would mean one of the current commits would not end up in the class.

So, in the last few days the #2 RB, Cam Akers, scheduled an official to Michigan. Michigan has also been keeping contact with Stephen Carr because if Harris flips to USC (the other school besides Michigan that has a chance to flip him) then he might open things up.

So the net is that I don't know where Eno fits into this soup but I do know Michigan is not going to take 4-6 RBs. Which is why I went through the details. You might benefit from this...it could be Eno...but it could be a kid named O'Maury Samuel.

Samuel is the kid I want Michigan to keep the most (of its current verbals) but he also seems like the least secure. He is a kid from New Mexico that blew up after a summer camp, got an offer from Michigan and committed before even stepping foot on the campus (he has since visited but still...). The reports on him are sick. I hope he sticks but with his senior film out there (as of last week...and btw...he is a 4 star based on one camp...one fricken camp...that's how good he might be) I think he ends up west of the Mississippi...I hope I m wrong but thinking this is the type of kid that Riley lands

Who would most Iowa fans want if Ferentz left? Bielema?

Iowa has not had the overall tradition that Nebraska has had. Nevertheless, I don't understand those Iowa fans who are content with Ferentz. Iowa City is a cool little college town, Iowa is a good a university with a nice campus, and you have a solid history of winning with a strong fan base. Seems to me you can do way better than Ferentz.

I hate it. The kid has been committed since April. Chevin shortly afterwards. Iowa is having a ****** season and those kids want to look around a bit. Let them. Keep recruiting them. Don't just pull their offer because you're butt hurt that they didn't tell you about a visit.

Eno has been instrumental at getting in the ears of other Texas kids. He has been a real salesman at camps and such. He went on his visits for a free trip. He recently came out and said he is done with visits and reaffirmed his commitment. Makes no sense.

Oh I'm sure it won't be anyone that is a head coach right now. Kirk will probably be around for another 5+ years. My guess is Greg Davis will "retire" soon. His son will take over as the OC. Then His son gets hired as head coach just to stick it to Iowa fans for another quarter decade.

People tend to forget that these are still kids. This is a once in a life time opportunity for them.I would rather a kid take his visits early and decide if his heart is in the right place, than have a kid enroll and then decide its not the right place (Grimm).

My prediction

He ends up committing to Nebraska, I don't think Michigan has room.

I was surprised to hear Michigan was recruiting him, given how many commits and RB commits you have. I hope he ends up at Nebraska, but ASU and Mizzou (for some reason) seem to have his attention as well.

Was Eno in the Top 100 at one point?
I think he got to 105. Not sure where he is at now.

For the record, it sounds like he visited behind the coaches back once, was told not to do it again; and then went to ASU and tried keeping that a secret. So I guess more blame can be put on his actions. But again, the policy is dumb IMO.

Read Kakerts blurb on the premium board the issue was Eno visited Mo and ASU on the sly no pub and when he got caught he LIED about it -The sad part he wasn't interested in those schools only did it for FUN .The big issue is he lied sraight to their faces about it . His offer was pulled over a week ago and he has been trying to put his spin on it . The rule is the same if you are a 5 or 2 star The kid Lied that was the straw .Letting 18 year olds jerk you around isn,t tolerated .Once the trust is gone its over . Ia has another commit who set a visit to Mich last weekend --he cancelled it . Eno really still wants to be a Hawk but he Lied himself into his situation . Maybe he will come back to bite the Hawks ala Gordon who pulled the same thing . Last year Fant had a trip sent to Minny he cancelled it .Most of the Ia people are not happy but the rules are clearly set out before they commit otherwise a lot of these kids would commit just to have a fallback and string the coach along .Iowa has a short string+

Sadly Eno probably felt like he had to lie because the way he thought the Iowa coaches would react even if he told them he was going to visit elsewhere. Even if it was just for fun.

The rule that KF has backfired on him, it has in the past and it will continue to do so in the future.

I like KF personally, he brought Iowa a lot of early success and when the NFL came sniffing around, Iowa locked him up and at the time I am betting a HUGE majority of their fan base was OK with it, at the time. Of course Iowa fans have the benefit of perfect hindsight now and want a do over.

Or they are saying he lied so the heat is not on them and makes it look like its the kids fault. I read the article iowa rivals put out about it and was pretty disqusted that they would talk so badly about a high school kid.
