He's a special kid. Best field vision I've ever seen.

Yet he's also much bigger and faster than last season. Legit 6-0 190+.

His vision is frankly ridiculous, and when he makes the cut it is effortless. He makes beating everyone downfield look easy.

Notre Dame has a superstar in the making on their hands. Adoree Jackson type abilities to impact the college game in all three phases.

Brodner did his part carrying GW with two huge TD runs and north of 292 yards on 50 carries. Must thaw

I can't imagine averaging 26 yards a touch, but I will say that Brodner broke the state 7A record for carries in a playoff game by 35%.

His TD total is now Top 10 all-time all-class in IL history with 43 and one game left.

C-G was no push over. Brods earned every year he got.

Lees I know he won the game and carried the team but he did have 4 turnovers... and when splitting hairs that's how you split hairs.

Its either Brodner or Love. I mean 280 yards on 11 carries and 4 tds, and wait he is going to ND for defense? Brodner just carries that team on his shoulders, without him no chance they get past MC.

The one thing that sticks out to me is that over last year and this year's playoffs JLove has around 21 TDs averaging over 20 yards per touch. That's in November. Playoffs is Julian time.

Pretty hard to ignore a kid with 56 combined touchdowns and over 4,000 combined all purpose yards. He had 4 turnovers on a field of ice and snow.

So if Brodner turns it over this week do we eliminate him? Silly statement

hmmmm do you know what "splitting hairs" means ?

Having Lees as a top 3 candidate for POY, how is that ignoring him?

If you can only pick 1 player between Lees, Brodner, and Love, you are going to have to nick pick/ split hairs.

having him as top 3, idk how that is ignoring him.

I'm confused how that is a silly commemt?

His two picks yesterday were numbers 4 am
Ned 5 this year. His two fumbles were three and four n the year. If we choose to split hairs how man turnovers do Brodner and Love have? What percentage of the snaps do they handle - anything less than 100 would be less than Lees.

So if we really wanna split what remaining hairs I have left, what's the percentage of turnovers based on snaps between the three.

I find it silly that Lees has over 300 yards and three scores yesterday and he isnt a favorite any longer because he turned it over 4 times - won and had 300 combined yards.

If Lees has more yards and TDs than Brodner this week and they lose what does that mean exactly?

you are taking what 1 guys opinion on a message board waay too seriously. My opinion doesn't mean anything.
I am basically saying it's a toss up, and I'm going with Love/Brodner. Probably Love, since he does everything, wr/rb/wildcat/S/CB/LB and punt and kick returner.

All 3 are great players! So calm down. My list just goes as
1A Love
1B Brodner
2 Lees

Still don't know how that is ignoring him....

LCN,

I won't take away a single slice of credibitly to Lees or Brodner both are great players. That said Love has positive turnovers because of his role on defense. He's a great offensive weapon but he is even more dominant and damaging to an opposing team through his defensive play. He closes down entire areas of the field and forces teams to run their offense around his play. Love is the 2 way player a coach dreams or has nightmares about. I've seen them all play live and they are all special, but Julian has that 2 sided threat that puts him over the top in my book. Good luck to all the boys as they practice and play for us next week!

So if Hetlett played Brodner both ways and he played all-state level LB that most agree he could, then he might be in the picture?

I think we could all agree that we get to watch three very special high school players next Saturday.

Cap,

I've held my tongue all season with GBW and will continue to. Brodner could very well be a dominant LB at the HS level and perhaps even the D1 level but we will never know, it will always be speculation. love on the other hand has proved time and again that he is a dominant force on both sides of the ball whether playing Lowly 5A teams(tongue in cheek) or Dominant 8A finalists(tongue in cheek). If player of the year is to assess the best overall player than Julian is the most logical choice this season as he's proven it on both sides of the equation!

Is it such a bad idea to give the award to all 3 players,And I don't think anybody would complain IMO.
