Great analysis of our team there Dickie V**
Personally (I know the majority will disagree and rightfully so) I am happy Jamont is gone. We might have a team that is more centered around playing as a 'Team' instead of Jamont's ball hogging me first attitude. And Dee Bost is starting to get some real good chatter about him. Might finally have another true point guard under Stansbury. Stansbury's best teams have come when he had true point guards playing the court. </p>

I think we will be too young and inexperienced to win the big road games this year...

Osby will impress many if he can get the PT from Stans.

Do you have any reports on the team?

I have no reports. I have seen them play at the Sanderson a couple of times earlier and what I hear from people is that our team (very young yes) has been impressing Stansbury and working their *** off in practice. Everyone is showing they want to play and we will be competitive. Only negative things have come from Osby I heard mainly because he isn't used to the level of competition he is facing. But his potential is great. We have the media days this week we will learn much more and scrimmages begin soon. But do we have a chance at the West title? of course. I can't make any surefire predictions until we have played a few games pretty much the same as everyone else.

will be playing time. Shane Powers column on BDJ after Hansbrough left pointed out that the younger players including the delks were allowed to stay on the floor after making mistakes during their freshmen years because of lack of depth. There seems to be a lot of competition for playing time at the guard position especially. I believe if we can get good guard play then Varnado, Brian Johnson, and Bailey will be sufficient in the post. We have to have good play from the PG and the 3 spot. Maybe Bost can handle the 1. I think Ravern Johnson is a star in the waiting and if Augustus can play some D we should have some healthy competition at the 3.

I think MSU either wins the West or is right there.

I really think Ole Miss or MSU wins the West, which will make basketball season fun.

ive seen us ranked anywhere from 36 to 96.
who knows where we will be with so few returning points, rebounds, and shooting.

since the West is pretty much all unknown, we may just have a chance.

the gut says Bama and LSU will be competing for the West title come end of Feb. itd be awesome if our unknown MSU team can be in the thick of things then.
