of the past few seasons. It was a pretty tight story, that stayed pretty well within the real time constraints of the format. Also we get a break from CTU and its god-like powers and paper thin security. Hopefully season 7 will restore fans' faith in the show. Although the new prez seems pretty bland and the crisis du jour (terrorists have taken control of air traffic control!!) is a little weak.

No one can dispute the brilliance of "A Kiss is Not a Contract":

As far as I am concerned, Vincent needs to be a STAR for the show to work. These past two seasons of the downward spiral have been unenjoyable. That show last night might have helped wipe out the last two years.

Thought the writing was predictable and sophomoric most of the season, although seeing Vince struggle and show some self-doubt was actually refreshing. No way someone can be so confident/lackadaisical at the same time. Although the Martin Scorsese ending was sort of cheezy, it was cool in that it gives Vince another chance at a comeback before living at home with his mom becomes permanent. (Why did they go back to Queens so quickly?!?)
The Turtle subplot was a nice contradiction to Vince's struggles.

Californication is the best cable show on currently though. Sex, drugs, and more sex...oh yeah.
