He went off against Arkansas too- took a screen pass or something and then made a move and then turned the afterburners on and got a TD. Moulds made a clutch catch against UT on the game winning drive on 4th down where Taite made a horrible pass, and Moulds hauled it in- to the shock of the UT DB- and then he got a first down which helped set up the 4th a goal pass to Kendall Watkins to win the game. I also remember Moulds catching a TD on a flea flicker from Todd Jordan in the 1993 Egg Bowl that was just really well executed- and is why the flea flicker is my all-time favorite play to this day.

Moulds also burned Auburn for a TD that was called back by a "hold".

on the equipment staff and worked under the WR coach as a freshman - Moulds was a Senior. He was absolutely histerical. His only issue honestly was he played around too much and really wasn't a leader to the young guys. I remember him walking up to the phone that was at the entrance of the practice fields and he called Dominos and placed an order for about 10-20 pizzas under the name Jackie Sherrill and the pizza boy later arrived during practice. He was always a prankster. He had so much talent -- amazing to watch in practice and of course in games. I can't imagine a Moulds receiver with a Tyler Russell passer. Even if Taite was way off, Moulds always found a way to get the ball. We need a receiver like that again.

Moulds and Steve McNair. With our massive o-line, and Davis/Bouie, we would have been sick. Chris Jones, Shaston Coleman, and Bernard Euell were all pretty good WR's in college too, so plenty of targets to throw to. Kendall Watkins was essentially a sixth o-lineman and Fred McCrary was a NFL FB. That probably would have ended up as the best offense in MSU history.

I remember him making an awesome one handed catch one time. I also remember hearing he dated D. Taite's ex girlfriend and they didn't get along. Does anyone know what his official vertical was?

Who are you? I was on the equipment staff too. I was a year younger than Moulds tho. Hit me with a PM and your favorite Milk Truck memory.

froma standing position and 48 inches is at the absolute top of the chart for most athletes. I read the average in the NFL is 28 (course that probably includes linemen too). In the 80's I remember it was said that Louisville and NBA star Darrell Griffith had a measured 48 inch vertical and was the best jumper in the league. Jordan also supposedly had a 48 inch vertical. Here is Griffith getting up on a simple block attempt...

No idea what Moulds vertical is/was. He could definitely get up.

that the DB was at least, on the small side 5'10", but looks to me to be at least 6'0". However, you do have to factor adrenaline in the equation as well.

Seems like he jumped 6 ft off the ground</p>
Yep, as y'all recall that catch happenend in the north endzone. I was in the Student section for that game. So, I got a good loook at it. When Taite threw it, it was "oh sh......". Then Moulds leaps as seen on the video. It was even better live and in person.

The catch vs UT in 1994 too........It was 4th down and long.I recall Moulds running a deep slant.Taite threwthe ball on a rope about 12ft. up.Moulds went up and grabbed itto save the drive and eventually the win.
