Article says he was still active at practices and team meetings.Shaw didn't have on-field role so I'm not sure what bearing Satterfield would have had on his decision.

Yes, I got an email about it earlier.Has anyone heard that Shaw is also leaving?
We love Kimrey, but we had a lot more at the TE position than we got production all season. You can see the potential there with Bell and Muse should’ve had a bigger year. Maybe we really did need to make some changes there.
The Shaw thing is a huge head scratcher for me. For some reason or another, 2 greats have left this position after a fairly short time. I still can’t believe Shaw isn’t on the field coaching somewhere, but he also left Furman very fast. I don’t know…I just don’t get that one.
Kimrey leaving dream job for a high school job, something aint right
Anybody got any evidence/real name to back up any of the rumors about a dispute?
Dang that's as expensive as 2 private schools I know of in San Francisco. I wonder if that's one of the attractions for Californians migrating to TN, the snootiness feels just like home.Rumor is he's going to the Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN. I lived in Chatt for a number of years. Baylor is a snooty private school. Tuition is $25K for day students, $50K for boarding students.
Kimrey probably just didn't like the college grind.
Beamer doing garage control on the rumors....
More from Beamer on Shaw and Kimrey leaving: We've got lot of people that are choosing to stay here, and this wasn’t like Connor & Erik leaving here because they’re unhappy. Let me say it again - One trillion percent they are not leaving here because they don't like working here
Well, he might also not admit it because it isn't the case. What I'm reading on social media amounts to a lot of hysterical speculation not supported by any significant evidence.Jay Phillips said Kimrey is leaving because there is a great new opportunity for his family.
Kimrey is classy. He'll never admit if Satterfield is part of the reason for his departure.
Clearly he's alluding to the Satt ongoing discussion. Perhaps we will get to some truth eventually, perhaps we have already, perhaps not. The key is to "own" the narrative.Sounds a bit defensive to me.

I'm too old to get worked up one way or another about these things, but I always find the approaches used in winning the message fascinating. One trillion percent is a bunch!!Yes. We're losing one coach on the offensive side of the ball. And a TE coach at that. Folks need to chill out.

Or maybe he got a great opportunity for his family. If it’s the Baylor school in Chattanooga then I can see it. The biggest regret I have in life is working so many hours while my kids were young. I’m sure college coaches work even longer hours and if you can make the same money or more at a high school job it might be for some people. I’m sure the excitement of an SEC game on a Saturday is diminished by being away from your family so much.Jay Phillips said Kimrey is leaving because there is a great new opportunity for his family.

In other words, typical social media.Well, he might also not admit it because it isn't the case. What I'm reading on social media amounts to a lot of hysterical speculation not supported by any significant evidence.
Sorry, trying to be funny.Yes, I got an email about it earlier.
Who knows. Not many college coaches take a big pay decrease to coach high school football out of state unless it's on the backend of their career. Particularly when you are coaching in your home town and you're an alumni of the college in which you are coaching.Well, he might also not admit it because it isn't the case. Well, not atypical. The bitter with the sweet. In other words, typical social media.
Beamer doing damage control on the rumors. Coaches have to respond these days whether rumors are right or wrong.
If something's really wrong, indications will manifest themselves sooner instead of later.Sorry, trying to be funny.

But Post #38 is operative no matter who says what.If Satterfield was the reason for Shaw and Kimrey leaving, Beamer wasn't goin to tell anyway
