Last Week: 4-1
Overall: 21-4

Crazy game last week. The most talked about game of the season certainly lived up to its billing--at least the 2nd half did. Not sure exactly what to think of Naz after that game. Certainly they can make incredible adjustments. Are they a title contender though? Personally, I think they are. Their speed is going to give just about any team in the state some trouble.

This week:

Pats-35 Viator-21...Disappointing seasons for both programs.

Naz-48 Marist-34...I think this one may be interesting. Marist can certainly put up some big points...but can they keep up with Naz? I expect a shootout.

ND-35 Marian-7

JCA-42 Benet-21...I think JCA starts off a bit slow dealing with the 'hangover' of last week's big win. But they wake up in the second half and grind Benet down.

CoM-24 MCC-21...Although Carmel put on a disappointing performance last week, I trust them in this spot with their backs against the wall. Maybe my belief is still rooted in the 'old CoM'. I think they get a much needed win here.

Down year for both, maybe they'll open it up since there's nothing to lose: Lions 49 'Rocks 42
Naz loses this, they might fall out of the Super 25: Skins 42 Roadrunner 35
Dons having quite a year: Gentlemen 35 Spartans 7
Joliet will win because Benet is so snooty: Hilltoppers 28 Wings 7
CoM at 3-4 entering the football equivalent of the Twilight Zone for a must win . . .

Corsairs 26 'Canes 24

My entire Nd being should say Pats loses every game, but since Devlin is back I'll take Pats
Naz
ND
JCA
MCC and I have little faith in that.

Marist 38 Naz 35
JCA 28 Benet 12
COM 21 MCC 20

Was at the Pat's/ ND game this past Saturday and was not blown away by ND, not saying they are not a good team just have a feeling it could be a 1st or 2nd round exit if they run into a certain team

Pat's 42 Viator 28....in a battle of winless teams (in the conference), Pat's superior offense wins out.

ND 49 Marian of the Heights 7....long year in the Heights.

Naz 38 Marist 24....Marist benefits from a bit of a JC hangover for awhile, but the Roadrunners get it going in the 2nd half. Too much speed for the Redhawks..

JCA 35 Benet 21....the Redwings caught Marist after a big win against ND. Could lightning strike twice? JC has a number of injuries. The Hilltoppers better come ready to play. Can Benet compete at the LOS? If so, it's game on.

MCC 24 CoM 14....the Corsairs need this one to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. It's too tall a task to beat the Hurricane in Woodstock.

Viator over Pats by 3 pts
JCA over Benet by 4 scores
Naz over Marist by 3 scores
MCC over Carmel...I will say it again, they are not that good.

Shout out to the MCC coaching staff for the 2 point conversion last week up 20 points with under 3 mins to go in the game. Very Classy move...

'MCC over Carmel...I will say it again, they are not that good.'

If you're referring to Carmel and you need to say it again, I don't think anyone on this board would argue with you, so why restate for validation's sake?

Last I checked, the Corsairs are currently 3-4, play in a traditionally good football conference, traditionally schedule tough OOC opponents, haven't beat an opponent with a winning record in those three wins, and have a glaring point differential atypical of Corsair varsity teams.

Big hurdles still exist, but they have a faint heartbeat for sure.

I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, remaining games with MCC and NND, on the road, will be interesting and entertaining to say the least!

My fault, wont say it again...they WILL lose the last two weeks against MMC and ND, no entertainment here. Both teams can score and Carmel D is weak. Not enough offense to say with either one, but we will see. Look forward to seeing both games...

I beg to differ on MCC not being classy going for 2 up 20 after all the cheap shots Viator was taking on helpless players, after the whistle, etc. If Viator had a problem with that then stop MCC from scoring.

Kids making bad decisions on the field is one thing, but a coach rubbing it in is another. Cheap shots were not taken in the game. I would love to see the film on that game again. Regardless, I dont care what teams are playing and what kids do during the game, coach with class. Going for 2 is on the coach, he made that descision, not the kids.

I do see your points, yet at the same time there were a few external factors in play when it came to the coaches from Viator coming back to MCC. By the way, there were cheap shots in the game & the whole 2 point thing was for fun.

If it is for fun, then do it when your up 14-13 not 20 with under 3 mins. You have a new coaching staff so that should not play in a couple of coaches that were at MCC. You guys have a nice team and play hard. Enjoyed watching them. Just thought going for 2 had no purpose...

I did not see the game.
If the opposition is playing dirty, there is no such thing called rubbing it in.
If the coach cannot control his team, they both then deserve the shame.
