Why are you cherry picking those two games, when a more relevant point could be made by looking at common opponents between the discussed teams.
Naz and ESL both played Batavia. Both beat them by 14 (esl won on the road)
Lwe and esl both played NC. LWE won by 21. ESL won by 40+
I get that the swc may not be the ccl. However, if you put MC in the swc conf it doesn't negate the fact they are still a great team

Because those are the two best teams ESL played. You can include NC if you want, but that doesn't help you either due to the NV thing.

Sorry but no. The two best teams they played were trinity and Batavia. Regardless, the data points you are using are flimsy when trying to compare two teams. If Ohio state played an AAC schedule that doesn't have anything to do with how good that team actually is.
This argument is really futile since esl won't get to matchup with any of those teams. But comparing performances from common opponents is much more applicable for this type of discussion
And fyi, according to maxpreps esl had a better sos than Warren and naz

NV lost to ESL by 2 in the waning seconds and beat GBN 27-10 on the way to a 8-1 regular season.
Batavia lost to ESL by 14 and I keep hearing how 3 TDs were called back, and eeked out a 3 pt win over GBN en route to a 6-3 reg season.
And you see these facts and come away with Batavia being better than Neuqua?
If Ohio State played an AAC schedule no one would put them over a another undefeated team from the SEC, ACC, or any other P5 conference. Especially if the best team they played was Illinois and they only won by 2.
Your facts aren’t really solid, NV trailed by two scores a majority of the game however they were a two point conversion from sending the game into overtime.

It seems some people are discussing in bad faith using whatever argument makes their preferred team look better (not only in this thread) regardless of whether the data supports it.
So, what makes Batavia better than NV?
Again, you introduce two additional teams to try and compare esl vs naz. Or esl vs lwe. You still provided no data that says trinity wasnt a top 2 team they played. I watched every game esl played. If you think Edwardsville was top 2 (who should have lost to a 3 win belleville east team) then good riddance.
But moving on, let's just pretend NV and eville were the top 2. It means nothing towards the larger point of the overall sos. Which according to maxpreps was better than Lwe and Warren.
Just because someone wouldnt put the hypothetical OSU/AAC atop the cfp just means you share their faulty logic and evaluation skills. Who they play has NOTHING to do with the fact they have chase young, justin fields, and a stable of play makers

I watched both teams vs esl and Batavia looked like the better team. Now that's is highly subjective, but what's not is how 2 teams fared against a common opponent. That's objective data and involves a few less variables than your proposed x>y>z so z>a
It's also interesting that you used my common opponent logic to prove nv was better than Batavia. But dismiss it when I used it to make a case for esl being as good as lwe or naz. Lol
Im not going to dispute that. But how many times do you think esl did the same. They could have probably scored 100 three times this year if they didn't play their 2nd string in the 2nd half.

They may very well be this year had they not Fired the Coaches, and disbanded the team for playing an ineligible player and hiding it.
I feel so bad for those Cardinal Ritter kids; I’d like to openly invite them to come live with our family in PA if they’d like to. I have plenty of open beds and the wife will be going through empty nest syndrome next year.
