Has anyone looked into watching Big Red sports on networks this year for us that can’t make it to Lincoln for FB, BB, VB etc. Seems like there will be different services getting the rights.
I haven't looked into it yet and it's a bit of a mess. There will be some college football broadcasting rights spread across an additional streaming service or two due to some compromises/business deals they made with networks. I don't know where all of the Husker football games will be televised, but I bet Fox, FS1, and BTN will have the majority. Possibly a game on CBS, NBC and/or Peacock. Big 10 Plus is helpful for Nebraska volleyball. Peacock will have a few men's basketball.Has anyone looked into watching Big Red sports on networks this year for us that can’t make it to Lincoln for FB, BB, VB etc. Seems like there will be different services getting the rights.
There are 16 regional finals. It’s impossible to show them all without streaming. One of many great benefits when we moved from the Big 12 to the B1G was no more PPV and the broadcasting of so many games on the B1G Network. Now with an 18 team conference we have streaming, which feels like a big step backwards.
I know there's other factors involved with today's game, but it's still disappointing to me that our regional final today in softball is on ESPN+. A regional final deserves a better broadcast than streaming.
I've noticed that. With the latest expansion, the conference is just too big in my view. Seems like the league would be better served to be divided up into regional divisions but that wouldn't be equitable so that will never happen. One of many great benefits when we moved from the Big 12 to the B1G was no more PPV and the broadcasting of so many games on the B1G Network.
