I have nothing against knowledgeable females but ESPN has too many women who know nothing but what’s written on the paper on front of them. Also, I don’t want women covering football unless it’s Erin Andrews.
I tend to agree with this take. If you watch a WNBA, college conference or NCAA tournament game it is primarily females doing the commentary. However now they are having women as a part of the men's programming like the tournament and draft.

I keep waiting for that live sports media rights bubble to burst. The costs keep skyrocketing yet the live sports business is catering to a smaller and smaller population every year between cord cutting and younger generations becoming increasingly less interested in sports while the older generations more interested are about to see mass deaths over the next 20 years. I know there's more value in having those contracts than just having people tune in to the game coverage but it's by far the most significant reasoning behind signing the contracts.

Which comment? The Devin Booker "choir boy" comment?
No…Mark Jackson made some comment to JVG about how he would be scared in his neighborhood. JVG replied something like, “I’m supposed to be scared of the blonde haired, blue eyed kids in your neighborhood?”

I think JVG missed the next game. Was explained that his daughter was graduating. Definitely could have been true, but I wondered at the time if it was a silent suspension.

Grow up. I was taught growing up that you love others as you would wish to be loved. To let others be and to not judge. (We often lose sight of that).

The reason they're going down is they don't spend the time to learn their craft, to "create a voice". Too much time is spent on social media.
No they are going down because they got political.

They'll wake up to it after they have a few more years of losing billions.

They lost over $100 billion last year. Millions are dropping Disney plus. The last few Disney Star Wars/Marvel films have been complete financial disasters. Indiana Jones is expected to lose hundreds of millions of dollars right now.

Part of it is that they keep forcing identity politics into everything. No one wants to see Indiana Jones get humiliated and talked-down to by a British Marxist character for 2 1/2 hours.
Exactly plus the story will be crap because their writers can’t write, and they legit want the woman to be Indiana Jones which is dumb because he’s a person not a mantle. Hollywood has no clue how to write good female characters anymore. It’s always to degrade the man and make women have no struggle in a story, just they can do everything magically. Like Rey in Star Wars. One of the funniest things was Jennifer Lawrence thinking she was the first female action star ever.

If they were smart they’d partner with the Saudis, get the rights to every PGA tournament out there and show coverage from the time the first dude tees it up until the last dude holes out. Every tournament. I’d watch ESPN a lot more.

Steve Young is out. Matt Hasselbeck too. So is Laphonso Ellis. Vince Carter's deal expires in September and he is not expected to get a new one.

Right...has nothing to do with woke/politics for me. I don't find the shows entertaining or informative. Twitter has already given me the info/highlights I was looking for and have no desire to listen to analysis as I've gotten older.

I agree. I don't listen to UK pre or post games or Titans pre and post games anymore either for same reason. Older we get less time we have for that stuff.

Lunardi should drop a “Way too early June Bracketology” tomorrow to really rub their noses in it.

Its just a matter of time til the whole network sinks.

I watch sports to remove myself from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and I don't want to hear anything political with my sports. I don't want to hear it even if I agree 100% with what they are saying.

ESPN can't just report about sports, they have to report about social justice, transgenderism and whatever the liberal cause of the day might be. ESPN was awesome when you got real sports reporting and they filled in the gaps with stuff like Australasian Rules Football, swamp buggy racing and roller derby.
