How many other geezers recall Gameday coming to Columbia in 2001? We thought we had this big matchup against FL and got dogwalked.
This will be about the same for Vandy. It looks like a big matchup but it isn’t. Vanderbilt is 5-0 but will finish 7-5 at best. The Tide won’t have a let down game after UGA, maybe if the Vandy thing didn’t happen last year that would be a danger.
I was there. The guys doing the show were wearing coats and ties above the table with shorts and tennis shoes hidden underneath. One of the silly blackouts. How many other geezers recall Gameday coming to Columbia in 2001? We thought we had this big matchup against FL and got dogwalked.

Vanderbilt has a Fire Ant defense? Exactly how do they remind you of 84? Specifically.I’m pulling for Vandy; they remind me of our 84 team.
I do not like Vandy's ascendence and if Saban were there, I'd be glad to see them brought down a peg, but it would be fantastic to see Bama lose to them 2x in a row.I'm pulling for Vandy. If they were to beat 'Bama 2 years in a row, the misery from 'Bama fans would be exquisite. The extra bonus would be to hear Finebaum try to explain this to his call in audience, GLORIOUS
That’s your sole recollection of 84, or you weren’t around yet more likely.Vanderbilt has a Fire Ant defense? Exactly how do they remind you of 84? Specifically.
I miss Joe Mo.That’s your sole recollection of 84, or you weren’t around yet more likely.
Pavia similar to Hold.
Beating teams they’re not supposed to.
Come from behinds.
Vibe from Lea is similar to Morrison vibe; quiet, confident.
Fun to watch.
Strong team unity.
You were pretty specific. Thanks. That’s your sole recollection of 84, or you weren’t around yet more likely.

I don't understand the sentiment. Is it because they are ascending and we are not ?I do not like Vandy's ascendence and if Saban were there, I'd be glad to see them brought down a peg, but it would be fantastic to see Bama lose to them 2x in a row.

If that is the case, then the antipathy should be directed more inward than to a school that is making positive steps to better their program. I certainly can't fault Vandy for that, in fact I applaud them for the effort.
I can't say I am aware of many individuals who actually know dumb frogs, or would voluntarily admit to such in a public forum."Harvard" -- You sound/communicate exactly like a really dumb frog I know.
They were 2-24 in the league under Lea until they landed Pavia last season. ("the ascention").
What do you think is going to happen when he leaves?
Yet another example of Doubtfire trying to degrade the program with BOT exchanges originating from a single poster with issues.
I can't say I am aware of many individuals who actually know dumb frogs, or would voluntarily admit to such in a public forum.
But hey, You do You.
You're not fooling real posters with your cast of characters, Botman.
Your footprint and intention to flame this forum are painfully obvious at this point.
I don’t root for anyone else in the SEC to succeedI don't understand the sentiment. Is it because they are ascending and we are not ?

Skuddy BOT - The "CPA" who alledgedly from College of Charleston certainly has picked up his activity (flame posts) since being outed.
It makes total sense that a CPA from a different school would be active day and night on this forum froloking with the BOTs.![]()
The spread is -12.5 for Bama, so the oddsmakers think the universe will reset this year.
Yeah, if it's not us I most always pull for the upset. It would be fun to see Alabama fans go utterly apoplectic after putting themselves firmly back in the title discussion after beating UGA.I will cheer for vandy in this one due to the underdog, its a good story kind of thinking.
But I wouldnt wager on them. I think Bama takes them. Although I wouldnt be surprised if they dont cover.
