Tenn losing Saturday didnt help our chances nor them being @ UT last weeek, but if we take care of business this Saturday, we'll be 5-0, ranked in Top 15-20.
Other possible stops that day are Dallas for OU/TX but both have tough games this week. Stanford @ N Dame, UNC @ Miami, W Virg @ Tx Tech.
Another reason they may chose to go elsewhere and this may be the reason they wouldnt is it would be the 3rd straight weeek in the SEC.

Seriously?

Obviously Oklahoma/Texas is going to be prioritized ahead of us and Tennessee, even if Tennessee were undefeated too...

We can forget them coming to Starkville this year.

UT weekend they will go to Oklahoma/Texas. The weekend we play TAMU there are games between USC/Oregon and TCU/West Virginia. I doubt we get the play over those two matchups unless we are 8-0 and TAMU is 7-1. And Arkansas is so bad there is no way they come for that matchup.

Only way I see gameday covering one of our games is for an away game. If we are 7-2 or 8-1 heading into LSU, we have a chance there. Not many great games that weekend except maybe KSU vs TCU. I think right now our best bet is in 4 weekends in Tuscaloosa. If the game were being played this week it would be one of only matchups between 2 Top 25 teams, the other being Notre Dame vs Oklahoma. To get the play over that game we would need to roll into Tuscaloosa undefeated.

ESPN would walk through glass to hold a Gameday @ ND...

...ND's winning streak has ESPN almost as giddy as when they get to help Mike Krzyzewski recruit.

The Gameday Schedule is pretty obvious for most of our big games.
The weekend we host UT: Red River all the way. Unless they're just flat pissed at the Big XII going with Fox.
The weekend we play Bama: Maybe. We need to be 7-0.
The weekend we host A&M: They'll be in BR barring something unforeseen.
The weekend we play LSU: They'll most likely have just been in BR.

The reality is...they are not going to make it to Starkville this year. Just doesn't set up for us.

Dont think this could ever happen... Isn't Notre Dame football owned outright by NBC Sports?

Also to add to this thread that they would never pass on TX/OU in Dallas. To much of a cool factor almost regardless of either teams in field performance. Only thing that punches a hole in this idea is that traditionally this game is played during the day, 1:00 ish kick off as it draws folks to the state fair that is being held.

The weekend we play TAMU there are games between USC/Oregon and TCU/West Virginia.

there's also another big game that weekend. i can't quite put my finger on it, but i know there's one.

oh yeah, a match up of 2 top 5 teams in a rematch of last year's national title game. barring a complete collapse from 1 or both of lsu and bama, there probably isn't a better lock to host gameday all season.
