I dont know why they dont cover college baseball very well. If you do find the scoreboard of games currently playing, they are like half an hour behind whats actually going on. With as big as baseball is in the south and in the west over in california, its a shame they dont find a way to make a bigger deal out of college baseball. I think there would be a good tv market for teams with big traditions like the SEC schools the Pac 10 and the teams in the Big 12 as well.

to ESPN, mainly the Northeast and Midwest. California teams may be good, but they don't have the attendance you will find in the SEC or Big 12. ESPN in respect to college baseball is in Fox/BCS territory. Hopefully with the new ESPN/SEC deal, college baseball exposure will grow.

My thoughts as well. Im hoping this new contract doesnt just help out football and basketball but baseball as well. Im a huge baseball fan, so I love it when we are on tv. During this time of year if you dont like basketball or hockey and want to watch sports, college baseball is out there, but it isnt promoted. I think if ESPN promoted it more it could get big. But youre right, the NE and the areas in Big 10 country where population is so high you dont have alot of college baseball interest.

Baseball is a hard sport to bet on, so they are going to put the money line games on that gamblers watch.</p>

It's fairly big in the southeast, but it's not big at all in California. The teams in CA are great, but even the best of them don't draw 1,000 in average attendance.

During this time of year if you dont like basketball or hockey and want to watch sports, college baseball is out there, but it isnt promoted.
The number of people who like basketball or hockey would outnumber the people who like college baseball 100 to 1.

Big-name matchups only, so no OM or State since they're playing minnows. I have never seen any offshore book offer regular season college baseball so this may be a first.
