The bigger stadiums are impressive, but in the largest stadiums, between a third and a half of the people aren't that close to the field. Having a closed-end stadium matters, but fan proximity to the field matters more. That's why the steeper the better and not having a track matters.

The Swamp combines these elements the best I've seen. Even the bench areas are hard up against the fans. I love it. Ohio State took out their track, lowered their field several feet, and added some lower rows with good views which were naturally close to the field.

Others have followed suit. We need to do the same thing, except we don't need to add much seating in the lower part of the East Side. Those people already have a bad enough view. Anything we do over there needs to account for that.
