Spartans over Eagles in OT. 27-21

Salem and Franklin County absolutely had a WAR last night. These kinds of games are what makes Thursday Nights special in the fall. Bunch of young 14 and 15 year old boys throwing it around in a scrap for the crown. It was a slober knocker. Fullback dives and Traps. Play action passes. Linebackers running down hill with bad intentions.

It was an exciting game to watch for sure! I'm pretty sure former Spartans OL, Brayden Overstreet, was coaching the Eagles, so there was an extra element of intensity.

Amherst beat Danville 33-26 last night in JV action. Both teams are big and have plenty of athletes. I love that the GW/Amherst rivalry is getting back to what it used to be. I’ve always called it the “Battle of 29”. Good thread, I enjoy hearing about the JV boyz.

I've told him how he looks like a Varsity QB. He throws a very solid ball and he's elusive when forced out of the pocket. He reminds a lot of Noah Beckley at this stage. If he continues to develop and grow he will have a very good Varsity career. He's learned a lot from the example set by Eli Taylor. He's a good kid too.
