ESPN is going to be forced to change it's mindset

about "po little ole Missippi State" very soon because the best is still yet to come. It will probably take a few more NYD bowl victories to wake their asses up, but it's coming. On another note, if the better recruits in MS can't decidebetween us and the Bears now, then I have no further comment about them.

PS: Typical ESPN BS that Heaven's 2 for 1 block doesn't make the top 10 plays. The 4 letter network is clueless.By the way, I didn't know until Mike Patrick pointed out to me that we have a receiver by the name of Chris Clark. Way to do your homework before going on air, you jackleg!!

the current state of the program. If they have any sense at all, they know things are fluid in college football and change almost monthly and certainly yearly. I mean, I agree with you and all, but I really only expect our recent success to sway one, maybe two recruits that are on the fence. Might close the deal with the SP and MC guys.

Personally, current success would just be one in many factors that went into my college decision. Just sayin'. I wouldn't let your 'crootin' expectations to get too high.

I also know that most of the elite prospects didn't grow up huge fans of one program or another. The directions that our programs are heading in are as polar opposite as they can be. OM has no idea who their QB will be next year and for that matter what their offensive identity will be. State has a dramatically improved Relf coming back for his senior season, Russell waiting in the wings, and Prescott enrolling early. If I am a skill position recruit in MS,how can I logicallylook at the Bears' cluster17 on offense and decide towaste my college career there? Unless, I grew up a huge fan of theirs from childhood, I just can't see it. We just went 9-4 with a NYD beatdown of the winningest program in college football history and we should begin the season with atop 20 (maybe top 15) ranking. It's apparent that Mullen knows what he's doing from an offensive standpointand we should only improve with an infusion of more talent (especially at WR). Time for these recruits to start "swimming for the boat" while they still have time.

I was stunned that he did not play the entire 4th quarter. We had a huge lead and when he did not play except for the last 7 minutes, I came to the conclusion that he will never be any more than what he is. I think Farve has beat him out and with Prescot coming in early, Russell will move further down the depth chart. Just don't ever see him being the starter.</p>

their attitude will change. Look at Boise State. They get a lot of love, but it's because they win every year and had that wild win over Oklahoma.

For MSU, it may even take a BCS bowl game appearance to earn that respect.

The way I look at it, it's premature to jump on either side of the spectrum on this debate, but I'm more confident in Russell being a good quarterback than a bust. Think of it this way, the type of coaching that Relf received made him look like a competent passer by the Arkansas game. What makes you think that the Russell, who is already a decent passer, won't receive coaching to become a great one? It's too early in his career to spout things of that nature. But i will give a counter argument as well by saying you can never be too sure how a player will develop and that he just may falter. But I think his chances of developing into a good quarterback are way higher than him being a bust.

He gave us major props yesterday. More props than I would have given. Said if Cam Newton game here, we'd be the undefeated ones playing Oregon. Said we had "all the pieces" to go around Cam.

Look up down the roster and tell me we have all the pieces than Auburn does. I'm not sure about that.

Our skill guys and our o-line might not be as good, but they aren't chopped liver either.

But Auburn's defense isn't all that great. Not bad- they have their moments, but I would take our guys in a heartbeat over Auburn's defensive guys.

we had just been *****-slapped by UM 45-0 and we were wandering in the darkness. Then, of course, Byrne did the right thing and the rest is history. Perhaps someone at UM does the right thing (whatever that may be...not sayin fire Nutt) and their future changes also. Hope itdoesn't happen, but it certainly could.

at University President and at AD, we won't go wandering in the dark again. These 2 positions are key in retaining our current andfuture success. I'm still pissed that we allowed LT to hang around as long as we did. In my opinion, his name should be eliminated fromany and all structures on campus.
