Here's our projected SEC finish per ESPN's predictor:
6-2 - 5.8%
5-3 - 28.3%
4-4 - 44.0%
3-5 - 21.9%
2-6 - 0% -- no longer possible

For reference, last week's numbers:
6-2 - 2.4%

5-3 - 15.3%
4-4 - 35.3%
3-5 - 34.8%
2-6 - 12.2%

The median remains 4-4, but it's now far more solidly within that record. It was on the edge of 3-5 and 4-4 last week.

So they think we're most likely to go 1-1 versus Arky and the Confeds. I actually think we will win both of those. Of course, if we do that, 8-4 (5-3) with two losses that should've been wins is a really good finish.

I'm not sure about Ark but if Corrall keeps getting beat up and only has his arm to use or is on the sideline we have a chance. Auburn gave everyone a blue print of how to slow Ole Miss down... beat up Matt. Texas A&M has the horses to do it. I have a feeling Mississippi should squash Liberty but that will be Freeze's Supper Bowel.

I think they had us at around 40% chance at Arkansas and almost 50% for ole miss. They usually but a decent weight on home vs away. I think Auburn was around 30 but don’t remember off the top of my head

So none of you think we have a chance against Auburn?

We typically play like **** on the plains. But Auburn is capable of laying an egg. I think our defense can keep us in it, depending on which version of Nix shows up for them.

Playing at Auburn is generally just weird. Between some bizarre plays and suspect officiating, I never bet on games @ Auburn. With that said, Ole Miss played ****** last night and if their coach hadn’t gone full retard with the 4th down conversions, they possibly could’ve won. With State’s defense and the offense playing much better, they could steal a win, especially if “bad” Bo makes an appearance.

You are correct in that other than Matt Wyatt's comeback years ago we have been pretty abysmal on the plains. Auburn just underwhelms me this year, nothing about them makes me really fear for our chances there. Maybe it's my intense dislike of them that makes me this way. Other than Ole Miss I dislike Auburn intensely. They are the ******** who got our bells banned for many years in addition to other numerous ways they 17 us over the years. I feel no sympathy for those ********.

It’s the toughest game left. Absolutely have a chance but I don’t have it as a win as of right now.

I have a feeling a lot of the Ole Miss team checks out after last night. They are already a MASH unit and their pre season goals are no longer attainable.

Ole Miss is grossly overrated. They've been able to ride a ****** schedule and fluke wins over Tennessee and Arkansas into a ranking. They probably go 2-2 down the stretch with wins over vandy and liberty, and losses to the aggies and us. It would be delicious to watch them drop one to liberty or vandy but it's not likely.

Our ability to stop the run gives us a chance to win any remaining game. We are also starting to show that we can both press it down the field or play ball control offense when needed. I agree that Auburn is probably the least likely but it’s not totally off the table.

So, after all the hand wringing and fire the coach whose offense will never work here threads that have filled the board all season, we are actually in a pretty good position to put together our second best conference record in 22 seasons? And if the team we saw Saturday consistently shows up, we could even be better than that?

For the record, leach teams will historically lay an egg in one of these final games in which we are favored. And probably restart this whole cycle of roller coaster fandom again.

Be careful, this will elicit an immediate response from the resident SEC official defender the notorious golfer.
