Contract expires October 30 - most think next weekend there will be no ESPN/ABC/SEC Network. Might want to think about how you are going to watch the Arkansas game.
Ditched YTTV months ago. Sling day pass. Maybe all I’ll ever do as long as its available.Contract expires October 30 - most think next weekend there will be no ESPN/ABC/SEC Network. Might want to think about how you are going to watch the Arkansas game.

Made a mistake only meant to reply to you Dawgbite, I remember the big *** antenna days then we had a tv that you could turn the big *** nob for like 3 other channels if lucky before that it was as the ole extremely heavy tv built into a heavy wooden cabinet. I live in the county so I never had cable even later on had them big 17ing *** satellite dish that moved to different satellites which was well later after the 3-4 channels we had which I’ve already spoken on about which was super old school. But don’t remember any of this 17 ery like todayYou know I can remember when one of the three channels we picked up on the 60 ft antenna would start this crap about going off the air because of contract negotiations. I don’t ever recall missing anything I’ve ever wanted to watch. Just go ahead and raise my monthly rates and quit this BS. It’s just a ploy to prepare us for a rate increase.
I wasn't aware of the sling day pass, thanks for the heads upDitched YTTV months ago. Sling day pass. Maybe all I’ll ever do as long as its available.
Don't get too comfy w/ it, Disney has already sued Sling over it saying their deal with Sling giving them access to ESPN channels doesn't allow this type package. The truth in the middle is probably that it doesn't address it, not that it forbids it.I wasn't aware of the sling day pass, thanks for the heads up
Amen. FYI. The Firestick remote is way simpler than any TV remote I’ve ever used.I have no issues switching around and minimizing my bill. But speaking as someone who went to a lot of trouble teaching his 85 year old mother how to use YTTV

I cut the cord in January. MY tab , with so so internet was $270, nothing special.Time to go back to cable. Cord-cutting was cool for about 5-7 years until each company started gouging. At this point, give me a simple interface with everything in one spot and the price is the same, if not better. I'm paying $200/month for hulu/disney/hbo/YT, etc. F that.
Same here taught my 87 year old grandmother how to use YouTube TV. They need to get their shite straight but I also do have espn unlimited bc of the Hulu/disney plus bundleI have no issues switching around and minimizing my bill. I enjoy the remote to my 70inch LG OLED. Reviewed as the best tv money can buy. Caught on one of those one day deals from Best Buy. I love that it has Alexa and dedicated streaming service buttons. Also the magic wand and complete voice controls are cool. Haven’t ever seen a fire stick remote can’t compare but I’m sure it’s good.Amen. FYI. For sports, there’s not really any difference.I have YouTube tv and need input if sling tv is really better? And are they really leaving YouTube tv for good?? Wt17
Yeah that’s cool, but I’m like you unless it’s really working in their benefit and a lot of people are staying subscribed past or getting subscribed past the day pass or weekend pass rather likely will limit it. Hopefully not and I’ve been seeing all these messages on YouTube tv during sports center earlier telling people to go to the website to keep their networks. For sports, there’s not really any difference.
I have absolutely no interest in either of them, outside of live sports. But Sling is the only one out of any of them that will offer you a day pass or weekend pass, even though it’s very obviously a hook to try and lock you into a longer subscription.
My gut tells me they’ll eventually put a cap on how many times you can do the day pass or weekend pass. Or they’ll get rid of it entirely. But it hasn’t happened yet.
Yeah, if they limit it, I’ll have to do something else. But I’m enjoying the ride right now. And it has to be great for Sling, too. 24 hrs for $6 is a lot better deal for them than a 7 day free trial.Yeah that’s cool, but I’m like you unless it’s really working in their benefit and a lot of people are staying subscribed past or getting subscribed past the day pass or weekend pass rather likely will limit it.
