The BS of Civil War fallout is as mindless as it is limitless.
Robert E. Lee said he would not fight to defend slavery, but to defend his home state of Virginia from federal unconstitutional overreach.

This is ridiculous. The Civil War was more than just a war over slavery. I hate it when people interpret history to fit their agenda. I hope Robert Lee sues ESPN.

Here is the statement that ESPN released. "The regret that who calls play by play for a football game has become an issue"

ESPN is so stupid. This would have never been an issue had not ESPN decided to make it an issue. They went out of the way to make it an issue. Then they try to spin it as if they had nothing to do with making it an issue.

ESPN released the following statement: "We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name. In that moment it felt right to all parties. It's a shame that this is even a topic of conversation and we regret that who calls play by play for a football game has become an issue."

I guess E$PN should stop taking money from companies that had Nazi ties. IBM, Bayer, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Siemens, Audi etc. And while they are at it no more commercials from Budweiser, one of the founders was Adolphus Busch. That sounds too much like Adolph Hitler. You can also add Ford and GM to the list.
