Now, which of you two would care to request use of the plane first? Hmmmm?

I see Kelly staying put at Cincy for another year, and waiting out the ND situation (Weis will be lame duck). Petersen though may be reconsidering, especially with Oregon being taken care of.

We have caught some breaks so far- UT hiring Kiffen and Washington possibly hiring Jim Mora, Jr. as well as Clemson hiring Dabo Swinney have allowed us to keep our wish list intact for now. The other break here is that by hiring those guys, it hasn't created a lot of "other" openings to compete with.

from the Syracuse newspaper ( on Veazy's Blog):

"- Scratch University of Oregon offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, who was scheduled to be interviewed this week by Syracuse. Apparently fearful the Orange would hire him away, the Ducks are moving toward a deal to make him the coach in waiting as a future replacement for Mike Bellotti."

It really made the hair on my neck stand up. According to rumor, the Oregon slot is the position that Petersen was coveting for all these years. All of a sudden, he is shut out of his dream job and getting left out of the BCS. Wow, kinda makes you think he might be looking for a change.

two, two, craps two.....good field and come ...pay the don't.

Although I'm not sure that you can assume it's luck. Byrne saw his chance to act, so he told Croom he had to clean house.
How many years are there when we are the biggest job out there? Not many, my friend, not many.
