I think that tells you that Syracuse is still viewed as a bigger job than MSU.

There is definitely an argument there, though I'd say Syracuse is in MUCH worse shape than MSU. Whoever takes that job is going to have a major rebuilding job. Granted, I'd say it'd be easier to build a program at Syracuse simply because they play in the Big East, while MSU plays in the SEC.

big east still has relatively good schools to battle with...wv, usf, uconn...not national powerhouses, but very good nonetheless
