Win this one and 10 wins is in reach. Lose it and we finish with 7 or 8 wins. Biggest game at MSU since LSU in 99.

I sure hope that the people who are certain we were building depth and playing vanilla are right. Would be awesome to see us beat their *** tonight.

I'm hoping the same thing. I was VERY confident we'd beat Auburn. I'm not nearly as confident this time around. I definitely think we can win, but I'd say it's pretty close to a coin flip.

I must admit...

Again, respects gotta be earned. We shall see.

I think TN is going to beat us by 10-14. There are too many unanswered questions about this team. Who knows why Troy was so effective vs our D that late in the game even our coaches did not have enough confidence in that unit to turn the game over to it? Who knows why we have seemingly played "soft" most of the season? Who knows why our WRs drop so many passes? Who knows why it doesn't seem our WRs can get open enough that Tyler isn't force to make a perfect pass to get a completion? Who knows why our kickers cannot kick it in the end zone IF that is what we are trying to do? Who knows why we seemingly do not have the killer instinct? Who knows if we can beat a really good team....not saying TN is that good?

Other questions about this game: Who have we played with a better offensive line? (nobody) Will we be able to run the ball vs UT? (if not, we are dead) Can we shut down Rajon Neal? (if not we are dead again) What will be our offensive balance in this game? (i hope we run 60%) How do we get to Bray? (we don't, he will release too quickly for us so we must count on coverage and prevent the run). What is the most telling statistic going in? (TN gives up over 5 yds per rush, worst in SEC). How many points will we have to score to win the game? (3

All good points, and hence our questions. We should be able to score. That is the one thing I feel confident in.

I feel like we are going to beat that ***. People will see tonight how good our defense is and we will open the playbook on both sides.

I don't think we need to open it up too much

Their run defense is atrocious.

Let's see...

..UT got *****-slapped by UF & UGA, & had to mount a 4th quarter comeback in order to beat the mighty Akron Zips. Yet it is MSU with the glass jaw. ESPN is nothing but a Duke basketball & Notre Dame football propaganda outlet. The rest of their garbage is just filler. And you idiots in this comment section agreeing with ESPN's ignorant crap make me sick.

1. Troy was effective because it was a complete letdown game for us ON THE ROAD- we are the first BCS team to win at Troy if I'm not mistaken.
2. We didnt play "soft" vs Auburn or Kentucky. We came out and slapped them both with our dick. We came out vs Kentucky and got in their face and built a 14-0 lead. The game was over at that point. They brought in their back-up and we backed off a little- but after their TD, we blitzed him and put him out of the game. You wont see any "soft" play today.
3. Our WR's dont get alot of separation because they are average
4. We are 5-0- I'd say we have a killer's instinct. Every time we have been challenged- we have responded. Every time.

On a national leve, this is true. We win tonight and go to Bama at 7-0 and all the talk will be about how MSU is unproven and might be the worst 7-0 team in the nation. Obviously this won't be our mindset, but on a national level it will be the consensus.

I'd love to be the worst 7-0 team in the country

Just wanting to beat the orange right now. Heading to Starksville.
