ESPN the Mag has short article on what it takes to be a valuable RB in the NFL, called Speed Score. It's a combination of weight and 40 time. A 260 pounder at 4.6 is as valuable as 200 at 4.4. It appears the closer Dixon can get his 40 to 4.5, the more valuable he will be to the NFL. Still thinking 3rd, but great time might get him to 2nd.

Weight and 40 time will give you this thing called 'momentum.' I suppose using correct terminology would be too nerdy for a sports magazine.

That is a pretty meaningless metric, IMO. It is no way measures change of direction, agility and most importantly vision. I like Dixon and think he has a chance to be a good pro back but I think he lacks the vision to be an elite RB. Some guys have that feel for the game which is really seeing a wider view of the field and how plays develop.

You needed an ESPN article to explain that to you? Seriously?
