Was anyone else watching the game on ESPN tracker yesterday? The final play by play stated that Nance missed lay up. Final score 78-77 Nebraska. To top it off it stated that Nebraska had 100% probability of victory. I threw my computer down in disgust. Didn’t even look at the forum until this morning and only now see that we actually won. What a surreal feeling. Anyone else have this happen?
I follow the scores on websites like ESPN, CBSSports, and YahooSports when the game is not available or I'm at work or somewhere were I can't see the games. Sometimes the computer scores are just lagging behind or wrong. They might have the wrong team in possession right after a score in football, so you might think was there a football on the kickoff or something...but no.. it is just slow updating sometimes. I've seen games that were seconds ago in the middle of the second half, say final and I am like...the game didn't end that fast. I have not seen similar issues in basketball, but sometimes it does seem like basketball will hold the same score and time left in the game. For example, let's say Michigan State is beating Ohio State 74 - 70 with 3:05 left in the second half...sometimes it will just stick to that score and time for 5-6 minutes and I'll think that they can't be on time out for that long. Sometimes, it is a legitimate stoppage, but other times it seems the humans are not keeping pace with the game to properly update the box score information. So, anytime I see a final score in a close game I would doublecheck.
