Was anyone else watching the game on ESPN tracker yesterday? The final play by play stated that Nance missed lay up. Final score 78-77 Nebraska. To top it off it stated that Nebraska had 100% probability of victory. I threw my computer down in disgust. Didn’t even look at the forum until this morning and only now see that we actually won. What a surreal feeling. Anyone else have this happen?

I believe multiple people commented on that in the second half thread yesterday

Has anyone gone back to double check on any of those 13 games during the streak?

Yes. I looked at ESPN on my phone just as the game ended and it indicated the Hucksters had won. I also got disgusted and refused to read any more. Needless to say, I was surprised when I turned on WR this a.m. and found out we had won. Go figure

That is what you get for following that rather than actually, you know, watching the game

I made a comment and one of the posters commented with ?

That was me. I was listening to the game in my car while my family was in a Target. After Young's basket but before the final 2.7 seconds, they came back, so I promised to turn it off right when it ended. When the game ended, I turned it off and immediately went to the box score on ESPN to see the stats, and I saw Cats had lost by one. Couldn't get the WGN feed back to hear if I missed something - thought maybe they put more time on the clock and Nebraska somehow got the ball back. The WGN feed is often behind the ESPN feed but also strangely sometimes ahead, so it was just this moment of panic. When I looked at the play-by-play, I saw they hadn't even given Young his points yet, so I was a little more relaxed, but still...

I follow the scores on websites like ESPN, CBSSports, and YahooSports when the game is not available or I'm at work or somewhere were I can't see the games. Sometimes the computer scores are just lagging behind or wrong. They might have the wrong team in possession right after a score in football, so you might think was there a football on the kickoff or something...but no.. it is just slow updating sometimes. I've seen games that were seconds ago in the middle of the second half, say final and I am like...the game didn't end that fast. I have not seen similar issues in basketball, but sometimes it does seem like basketball will hold the same score and time left in the game. For example, let's say Michigan State is beating Ohio State 74 - 70 with 3:05 left in the second half...sometimes it will just stick to that score and time for 5-6 minutes and I'll think that they can't be on time out for that long. Sometimes, it is a legitimate stoppage, but other times it seems the humans are not keeping pace with the game to properly update the box score information. So, anytime I see a final score in a close game I would doublecheck.

Following that + commenting immediately on how bad/unreliable our team is. You gotta watch the games to criticize!

This reminds me of those years when Turk issued his FB player game grades, sometimes only based on listening to the game on radio. Those were the days..
