It's amazing when the Tri- Rivers dominates they are labeled as thugs by some posters up here , quite intriguing.
I'll never understand why adults find it amusing to come on a high school message board and attempt to put down kids. It really blows my mind how some adults act.
Let's be real about this now. Everybody here knows the demographic balance(as far as sports go) is definitely in the A.A. favor. That's why they always ship everybody from the east out of town on chartered buses for the championship rounds to play on the western side of the state. More times than not, they're close enough to ride their school's transportation. It's just a means of trying to cause chaos and confusion on their behalf. That's a hell of a preemptive strike in week 3. I'd love to see a state championship game on this side of 95. Just saying.

While I don’t disagree with you that it should be more centrally located, how many teams 1A teams play east of Richmond? The fact is the largest number of schools is to the west so to draw a gate for those not actually in the game, it sort of makes sense to hold it towards the West. I would think Lynchburg or Charlottesville makes sense but that’s still a long drive for any team from the east. It’s a question those teams from Region A and even several Region B teams need to ask the VHSL. I can pretty much guarantee that Galax and Riverheads would play on blacktop at the pier in Virginia Beach if that’s where the game was being held.
