Essex vs King and Queen Next Friday

Big game in Tappahannock next Friday. KQ is ranked #5 in the state by Virginia Preps and Essex is #6. KQ is 4-0 and Essex is 2-0. Some interesting storylines to follow.

1. Can Essex bounce back after a two week hiatus?

2. Can King and Queen match the physicality of the Essex line and their 2 big RBS?

3. How will King and Queen react in their biggest regular season game in many years?

Hard to believe that this is the first game in 23 years between these neighboring counties and I am sure it will be a huge crowd on hand for both sides.

Essex by 18. KQ running back and QB are studs but not enough in the trenches IMO.

This will definitely be an interesting game. I’d love to see a K&Q win. I won’t call it an upset because K&Q had a season last year and showed what they had. Especially against my Indians. Unfortunately for K&Q they are playing the powerhouse of 1A Essex and coach Jones. I’m sure he will have his Trojans ready. I predict a very close game I think Essex will take it by a touchdown.

It will be a close 1st quarter, after that the Essex size will wear the tigers down. Essex by 3-4 touchdowns.

Great game and greater story line on the resurrection of K & Q football . Essex should win but if K & Q can not turnover the ball , limit Essex big play ability, they can win. Essex is not a physical team in my opinion . K & Q must get this game in the 4th quarter if so they have a chance .
