Geographically, just because of how massive Russia is, you might consider it to be in Asia. But major cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg are very close to what we'd call Europe. So, culturally speaking, you might say it's European. I suppose it's in both.<div>
</div><div>But none of that really matters. As far as FIFA's continental zones, there are a few anomalies. Australia, for example, requested to be part of the Asian zone a few years ago. And it's certainly not in Asia. And Guyana and Suriname, geographically in South America, compete in the North/Central America and Caribbean zone.</div>
