in about two minutes. i guess he wears that in case his head hits the goalpost.

edited to add: turkey goalkeeper just got a red card and they already sub'ed twice; on field player must stay in goal for the remainder. great match

I think he got booted in the head a while back, and it's sort of like Rip Hamilton wearing the mask because he broke his nose a few years ago.

Great, great match. I didn't realize Cech played for Chelsea until last night. I was watching a replay of an Aston Villa/Chelsea match and saw him in goal.
