Democrat Dennis Kucinich Defended Trump On “Mornings with Maria”

On Tuesday Former Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich defended President Trump while appearing as a guest on “Mornings with Maria”.

From Fox Insider:

The former Democratic presidential candidate and Fox News contributor said the bigger issue here is that the phone conversations between Flynn and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were intercepted and leaked to the media.

“The American people have to know that there’s a game going on inside the intelligence community where there are those who want to separate the U.S. from Russia in a way that would reignite the Cold War,” Kucinich said. “That’s what’s at the bottom of all this. It’s early in the morning, it’s Valentine’s Day, but wake up America!”…

…”What’s going on in the intelligence community with this president is unprecedented,” he said. “They’re making every effort to upend him. Who knows what the truth is anymore?”

Kucinich said Trump must get a hold of the intelligence community because he believes there is “definitely something going on” to undermine the president.

Not saying it's right but when you talk smack on the intelligence agencies and the media, you're not going to make any friends and some might even want pay back. As long as it doesn't hurt the U.S., I say karma.

Sad that you don't see the danger. Forget Trump. Let's say Warren wins in 2020. And the Intel Community doesn't like her. They do the same thing. They listen in illegally and then leak like a sieve. My guess is that you would change your mind.

We can't let unelected officials use illegal means to bring down people they don't like. Kucinich sees the danger. Sad that you don't.

First, I don't know where these leaks are coming from but I doubt that all are coming from the intelligence agencies. Also most other humans wouldn't be stupid enough or disrespectful enough to talk **** on the intelligence agencies so most folks wouldn't have a problem like Trump is having now. He's created 99% of the problems that he's crying about now.

moe, it's US Intelligence Agency information. Even if it doesn't come to the media directly from them, it comes from Intell. So even if it comes from the leaker's leaker... you get my point.

One big problem with your statement. How did the conversation between the Russian Ambassador and Flynn get recorded? It had to be subject to a FISA Court warrant. Due to Obama's last minute changes in how this information is handled, that conversation is turned over to all intelligence agencies in its raw form.

That conversation was then leaked.

The other explanation is the FBI was conducting an investigation of Flynn (which was announced), they recorded the conversation and then leaked it.

Either way, very, very bad and against the law. Now NPR reports from an intelligence officer that the phone call amounted to nothing. But a career ruined. Flynn lied to Pence and paid the price.

So it is ok in your mind to break the law if someone says something about the organization you work for that you don't like? Wow.

Don't you see how much power this gives to unelected intelligence officials. They can blackmail politicians to get what they want. They can get someone fired or put in jail that they don't like. This is almost unlimited power not seen since the days of J. Edgar Hoover. Extraordinarily dangerous.

I guess you'll never learn will you? Flynn is an idiot (and used to work for one) and ruined his own career, it's not that complicated. All I said is that if these leaks hurt the socalled prez (and not the U.S. in general) then I won't lose one bit of sleep over it. Chancey Gardner would make a better prez.

I was just saying that he keeps his posse hanging around for all things and one of them could leak some things too and probably have.

Perhaps less extreme example, what do you think of the possibility of the Dems going old school and looking at Manchin?

No way. The Dems have moved very, very far left. It is all about identity politics now. Anti- first Amendment. Anti Second Amendment. Anti religious freedoms. Anti police. And on and on. Manchin is far too middle of the road. Watch the Jim Webb video from this weekend on Sunday, CBS I believe. He is centered and he can't believe what the Dem party has become. Even more examples with Dave Rubin, a true liberal, coming out against the current Dem party.

Then you are a much bigger fool than even I imagined.

There is little doubt that the WH is unsettled and that the leak could have come from a staffer, but it is still sensitive Intell that should not be shared with the media. During the two weeks between notification of the investigation and Flynn's resignation there is no doubt some staffers were briefed.

I'm no Trump fan, but the law is the law and these leaks are against the law when it pertains to US Intelligence Agency data, maybe even treasonous.

For the leak to have come from a staffer, Flynn would have had to tell the staffer of the call. Very unlikely he would tell someone he didn't trust completely. Flynn is a smart guy.

The far more likely scenario is that the intel community or the FBI leaked this information.

We know the call was recorded. An intelligence officer who read the transcript or listened to the call, told NPR there were no laws broken. It was a nothing kind of conversation.

I was thinking the same thing. The liberals would vote for him regardless of the Repub and he would be far more attractive to Dem moderates and Indies. His age might hinder serious consideration.

I normally agree with you guys, but he has no chance in hell. The far left is in charge of the party now. Watch Jim Webb's interview, it is very enlightening.

And even if independents like him, how is it going to win the primary? Bernie Sanders an avowed socialist nearly won.
