Even the basketball team is chicken cursed!

The only team not cursed is Women's Basketball and that's on purpose because it makes us a Women's Basketball School
We are not chicken cursed! We are not doing well in certain sports because we don't have the right resources in those sports to make them successful.
It wouldn't be embarrassing except that we desperately want to be good at football.
That is definitely one thought. I think that is more excuse-making than fact, but everyone has their opinion.
If we would just pay our football coach and staff competitive salaries, we would be great in football. Oh, wait.
I agree with Freddie. We played an exhibition game against the preseason 4th best team in the ACC in Greensboro. You always want to win, but the bigger goal was to see what kind of team we have.
I saw a comment somewhere about the game that said ‘if we can cut down the fouls’ we could be good, and given that most fans don’t know a touch from a hip, I’m afraid the refs may have been using jersey colored whistles. I see where we took 15 free throws and they took 30; I’m a little tired of seeing that year after year across coaches and players. The one season we made post season and the stripes started just calling fouls instead of jerseys we went to the fn final four and may have won it all if thornwell didn’t have the flu. There’s the chicken curse right there.
THINGS LOSERS DO:
1. Claim moral victories
2. Cite stats after losses
3. Blame referees for losses
Our #1 recruit/commitment tore her acl and had surgery a couple of days ago
Bball team will be fun. My big concern was if Eli Ellis could transition to the college game quickly….evidently he scored 27 and hit four straight threes to start the 2nd half. For a team with only 3 returning players I say we will do much better. Why don’t we watch them play a while before we start the BS.
I think that game should give us a lot of confidence. We were playing a good team and apparently played well, especially for a team picked to finish last in the SEC. I think that qualifies as a good loss and it doesn`t count. Should give us hope that we will be better than predicted.
