It feels awful to say but 5-7 would be a good season for our program in its current state. 6-6 would be amazing.

It's every year.. and it'll only get worse until we take the field. Right now most MSU podcasters are saying we SHOULD be 4-0 when Big Urnge comes to town... "and you know.. who can say how that game goes?? I mean, Tennessee lost a ton last year!".
By mid-August some folks in this echo chamber will say they can see a path to 9-3 if things go our way.
I'm gonna keep it real with y'all... at 3pm on 8/30 you better just hope we're 1-0.
I have never been less interested, and Im not listening to any pre season talk. Ill admit I would be more interested if I thought we had a shot at 6 wins, but all this NIL nonsense has turned me off.
Off the games...I obviously enjoy the legal fallout of the NIL stuff.
Right now Im questioning whether I even want the new ESPN app coming out soon. I might just avoid streaming games altogether.

The Arizona State game is where I think we can make some noise. Skattebo bet us last year, not ASU. If we can find a way to pick them off, we start 4-0. Then you got to find two.
Arkansas could implode this year. You'd have to pull a home upset to get to 6. You lose to Arizona State, and you need an SEC win to get to 4. I just don't see us getting more than 1-2 SEC wins best case scenario.

I was laughing earlier today reading an Elitedawgs thread where a bunch of them were talking about getting to 6 wins. There's a lot of them that seem to think we have a pretty decent shot at it. I just don't see it. I'm squarely on 3 or 4 wins.

I think we'll hear "and Shapen is immediately swarmed by the defense" more than we'll hear about bad passes.
I remember getting sheepy around 2006 or 2007. Back then, there was always a few Ole Miss guys that would come over and try to nicely talk us back here, then run to Nafoom and be like, "Gettin pretty woolly over on 6pack". Might be more exciting with a few more of them.

I want to believe this, but I'm having a hard time convincing myself that we can win 4 games with the squad we have. I, too, agree that Skattebo beat us more than Arizona State did.

The Toledo and Arkansas games broke something in me. Those are two of the worst games I’ve ever seen in person. Idk how you look at this schedule and think 6 wins is expected or even likely.
