Everybody is blaming coaching, but our players did 17 up a good bit too.

We get into their territory on probably the best run of Tyler's career, have a sack, a terrible run play, and 2 penalties.

Another, also in the 2nd quarter. They have just scored to go up 7-3. We need to answer. Tubby returns a kickoff 66 yards to give us an excellent shot of going back up before halftime.

1st and 10 at OKST 34Tyler Russell rush for a loss of 3 yards to the OKSt 37.37
2nd and 13 at OKST 37Tyler Russell pass complete to Zach Jackson for 8 yards to the OKSt 29.

If you watch closely, you'll notice Dak doesn't make the right option on his read-option a lot. I want to see Dak get the starting reps... but he's still got some growing to do. I'd rather that growth start this year, rather than next.

I don't think anyone has said that our athelete's played without error, but when the coaches fail to put them into a position to succeed it's hard for me to have any ill will toward them. Saying that Dak made the wrong read on a 4th and 1 is really missing the point. Run a ******* QB sneak.

Our read options looked terrible with Dak in. Either he was making the wrong decision everydamn time or he was telegraphing what he was doing to the point that defenders immediately recover.

Those two drives basically sum up the second half of 2012 and the infant 2013 season. I have a feeling we are in for a long one. And if there is one certainty and truth surrounding our football program it is that Dan Mullen is incapable of adapting.
