They are now 1-2 after losing to Duquesne yesterday, following their loss to Valpo.

I can't believe anyone thought that wouldn't be a bad loss. The two wins were great, but that loss still has a lot of potential to hurt us.

The wins in N.Y, more than offset that. I guess it is driving you crazy that we had success soyou had to reach back to get your jollies. You and coach must be some miserable s.o.b's

Just pointing out that Akron lost and the SPS bracketologists need to account for that since we had all but crowned them a tourney team.

That is the good thing about actually mplaying decent teams in non conference. When you beat them it helps cover up the bad losses. We don't need to lose anymore of the BS games Stansbury likes to blow, but if we don't then beating a couple of top 20 teams will more than balance that out

I can remember at the end of the past 3 seasons, the last couple of games on TV they put up the "tournament resume" thing, and 16 Arizona and 18 Texas A&M on a neutral site is already more than any of those past 3 seasons already, and we're only through 5 games. I realize Akron will be under "key losses"... but I'm willing to go and find you half of the non-automatic bids in March that will have at least one "key loss"...

We're not Kentucky, Duke, Michigan State, or UNC. It's a terrible loss, and whoever says it isn't is lying to themselves. But I don't think it's going to make or break our tournament resume, mainly because I don't see us being any better than an 8 or 9 seed (8 being extremely optimistic).

..because I think if not for the Akron loss, there is no way this team shows up in NYC & beats 2 ranked teams on a neutral court.

The prestige MSU gained by beating Texas A&M & Arizona far outweights the loss to Akron.

with any win, and I am.

It is still a long time until the end of the season. Hopefully I'll have several more wins to enjoy.

Let's see how they do tomorrow night. Acron was a disappointment and the CAC Tourney trophy was pretty, but tomorrow nightis the most important game to me at the moment.

if the Akron loss is the only loss that will hurt our chances I will take it. Most teams have played 3-5 games; let's wait and see where we are when SEC play begins before we start looking back. At least by then we will have more to look at.

We really need to win out the rest of our OOC games. The only tough one left is Baylor at Dallas, I think we beat the Huggie Bear and WV by 10+.

The theory he preaches makes alot of sense, and thankfully we are on the positive side of said argument this year. He simply insists that in these days of college bb, that all teams have proven they can lose. What he is looking for in quality teams are the ones that have proven who they can beat. For the first time in nearly a decade, we are on the merited side of of that theory.

We should beat them but I don't think it kills us to lose to them

You think we have people complaining about Stans not getting out of the second round....Stew Morrill is 1-8 at USU in the NCAAs, with six straight first round losses.
