He "plans" to donate it....and receive a tax deduction for the donation. So it is a double whammy against the Treasury.

Do you think we can see those tax returns? Especially since he claims he will donate his salary?
Now that is some interesting spin. How exactly is it a double whammy if he donates it and then takes a deduction for it? Show us just how dumb you are cuntry.

Irony. A dumbass wants me to explain a simple concept of a tax deduction, which results in the Treasury receiving less.

Trump's money (your's either) doesn't 'belong' to the U.S. Treasury countryroads89. It (your's too) belongs to him (you!)

If you want to countryroads89, you are free to send in as much extra as you wish...I'm sure the U.S. Treasury will be very grateful for your generosity too.

btw countryroads89, how much extra do you send in? Do you itemize?

Wonder why if you do?

Planned Parenthood is not a charity Coop. They operate for profit...selling death...killing little Babies.

Damn! Are you ever correct about anything?

I don't think you could be more wrong if you tried. Maybe one day you will be convinced that the dumb **** you cram your mind with, alternative facts and fake news, is contributing to your stupidity. Lay off the Breitbart, InfoWars, Gateway Pundit type of ********.

They are not a non profit Coop...classic definition of a "charity". Yes they take donations....they also accept payments, and demand confiscatory taxation to run their abortion mills and/or chambers of Death....all for profits my friend.
Wonder how they got a 501(c)(3) status then? lol

OK countryroads89. Planned Parenthood doesn't sell Death...they cherish little Babies and encourage Life decisions for Mothers confused over their "choice" to keep their Baby or kill it.

I mean why even do Abortions, it's such a rare piece of the "health care services" they provide right?

You are the most misinformed person I have ever seen.

countryroads89 over the past few days I have asked you to explain or give answers to several questions we have discussed that you have conveniently walked away from while accusing me of being either: "misinformed" or "stupid" or a "moron" or "dumb" or any other of the myriad of kindergarten style names you're so eloquent with.

So assuming what you say about me is correct, why don't you or can't you easily answer my questions?

I mean you've jumped all over me about the mistake I obviously made calling Planned Parenthood a for profit operation (I still believe they are, but that's not their official designation), but OK I admit you got me on that one. I was wrong.

So why are you so quick to point out my error on this topic which I admit to making, yet you so completely vanish when I ask you to justify other non factual statements you frequently post on here?

I'd sure like for you to prove me as wrong again if I'm as mentally challenged as you suggest.

Let's start with the question I asked you today. Who does Trump's money belong to, and how much extra do you send in to the U.S. Treasury?

Then how about showing me those CBO stats I asked you for the other day?

They won't soon. Soon they'll be so busy they won't have time to think about it, once their numbers are pared back.

One can only hope Dave. Culture of Death. Imagine going into work there everyday, knowing your primary job is to kill innocent Children? You are paid to terminate precious Lives....and encourage more (slaughter) of it.

The IRS's numbers? They've been gutted the last few years. Good luck to anyone that ever has an issue with the IRS.

My personal preference Coop would be to send them onto the ash heap of history. To me them and the maze like tax code they use to wield their power are the worst Government has to offer us and does to us.

I HATE them. I truly do.

It's a bit silly to hate the IRS because of Congress, no? Honest taxpayers are the ones hurt by the current IRS staffing levels.

The tax code gives the IRS its power Coop. You're right Congress can amend that. I'd prefer Tax simplification to the point where we don't need 7 billion dollars each year of the taxpayer's money to pay the IRS to harass us.

Let's start with the question I asked you today. Who does Trump's money belong to, and how much extra do you send in to the U.S. Treasury?

There are three reasons I don't answer your questions: 1) they are often stupid questions, 2) no matter my response, you will cite some fake news source that is blatantly wrong to refute it, or 3) you will believe the alternate reality in your mind regardless of what I say (PP in this thread as case in point).

But I will bite this one time.

As I am sure you are aware, a percentage of everything we earn is taxed and that percentage depends on how much we earn and how many deductions we can claim and how we invest those earnings and on and on.

So, a percentage of the salary little hands donnie earns from being POTUS does belong back in the treasury. When he decides to "donate" it (that's his prerogative), the treasury loses the tax from it.

So his lie that he said he would not receive a salary takes $400k from the treasury. He misled the ill informed that actually thought he could forfeit his salary.

On top of that, by him donating the entire salary (again, his prerogative) the treasury will not recoup that part of his salary that would have been owed in taxes, estimated at $158k.

Honestly I'm human countryroads89, and I often make mistakes and I admit I'm frequently wrong. Of course my opinions are just that, opinions, so I'm not as willing to admit those are always wrong but I'm always ready to defer to facts that can't be argued and when those do indeed invalidate my opinions I'm always ready to willingly admit that.

It is not the same for my beliefs, which are rooted in Faith which facts can and do often support, but can not always as easily dismiss.

But you know something countryroads89, fact or opinion or beliefs included, I've never ever seen you post or admit when you are also wrong.

You can correct me if that's not a factual statement, and other posters would have to correct me if what I'm saying about you is false, but I honestly can't remember ever reading a post from you where you have admitted your error or being factually incorrect.

Yet, you are among the most vociferous advocates of anyone else's factual errors, or inaccurate opinions...and you not only insist on your opponent's disagreements being counter to your own as wrong, you do so in the most condescending, disrespectful, dismissively arrogant nature one can imagine.

So tell me countryroads89, am I wrong about this?

Many of your assumptions in this post I adamantly disagree with countryroads89 but I'll focus these 3.

First of all the questions I ask you are not "stupid", that is your opinion of them and you never answered the main one I asked you in that post about Trump's money. Who does it belong to? You seem to suggest in your answer that indeed a portion of his income 'belongs' to the Treasury? I fundamentally disagree with you, and this is the source of our inherent disagreements over Government. Our taxes are voluntarily contributed, and voluntarily paid. The tax code is arbitrary, and determines at arbitrary levels how much we "owe" based on what we earn.

Secondly, what we pay in the form of taxes is subject to our willingness to pay it. By Law we must indeed pay taxes, but what we chose to do with our earnings is first our choice, and even if we choose to hide all of our earned income form confiscatory taxation, as long as it is legal the IRS has no claim on that money.

Finally, It is none of your business (or anyone else's) what Trump does with his money or salary. So for you to claim he "lied" by saying his Presidential remuneration will be donated in a manner he sees fit is not only a false assumption on your part, but the height of arrogance when you refuse to admit that you too claim as many deductions as you are legally entitled to claim, and keep as much of your own hard earned income as you are legally allowed to keep.

You never answered my other questions to you. How much "extra" do you send in, and do you itemize to limit your own tax liability?

You have no right to criticize Trump about his tax deductible donations or what he chooses to itemize on his tax returns if you refuse to recognize the same privileges in the tax code you exercise for yourself.

Maybe that's the reason you didn't/won't answer my questions because it blatantly reveals your hypocrisy criticizing Trump for the very things you do?

Let's look back at CBO scoring Obamacare:

It is important to point the CBO overestimated coverage numbers when it scored Obamacare in 2010. CBO estimated Obamacare would cover 24 million people, yet current numbers sit at just 11 million.

CBO did say the legislation will save over $300M over 10 years.

The reality is, the bill has not yet passed. Changes will be made. As Nancy said, we have to pass the bill to see what's in it, so she should be thrilled.

all this for a $300MM save when 14 million will not be covered? Help me understand that.

The biggest problem OM 1 I have with CBO's scoring is their assumptions are almost always incorrect, and you cannot assume their numbers are fact because they do not take into considerations many other factors that will effect who ends up buying insurance and how much they will pay to do so.

Which to me screams for the main reason to get Government force, mandates, controls out of the health insurance marketplace. All it has done is distort true costs, true market based competition, and true choice for health care consumers.

In order to get a true picture of who buys insurance and what they pay for it is to let consumers make those choices among health care providers competing for services in a free market absent Government controls or limits.

Never happen. He uses words to make things happen and the concept of truth is unnecessary to him.

Truth is not relative bamaEER. If Trump refuses to recognize it or acknowledge it, it will indeed be his ultimate downfall. As I believe it is the reason for the Left's current lack of credibility and political viability.

This is a perfect example of why I don't respond to you often. You live in an alternate reality.

When he chose to run for public office, his finances became everyone's business, especially with the cloud of uncertainty surrounding him being audited, his alleged ties to Russia and him not paying one cent in taxes for a number of years despite claiming great wealth. His integrity must be proven; something we in this country don't do well enough for those holding public office.

but the height of arrogance when you refuse to admit that you too claim as many deductions as you are legally entitled to claim, and keep as much of your own hard earned income as you are legally allowed to keep.

You don't know that I claim as many deductions as I am legally entitled. You don't know a damn thing about my taxes and it is none of your damn business, so don't make assumptions about me and purport them as fact. In fact, it is no one's business except the IRS.

And there is no hypocrisy because I never ran for public office. The only thing hypocritical is Trump not doing what every single Presidential candidate since Nixon has done. He is a liar and a hypocrite.

Exactly countryroads89. So why doesn't this apply to Trump? You say it's because he decided to run for Office, but where is he legally obligated to tell you or anyone else what he does with his money?

What's not "arbitrary" about that requirement or the tax code itself?

Aren't we about to adjust the taxable limits on incomes allowed under the Law? You're arguing those limits are set in stone?

And you call me "dumb"?
