I mean it is the tournament so anything can happen. But I like our chances more than I did yesterday.

I think if we can make it through this weekend, I will be feeling really, really good. I expect a little rust from PJ, but if we can get by Houston and UNC/Auburn with PJ maybe being just a bit limited or not quite 100%, I'll be feeling really, really good about #9.
Pretty much this. Houston is legit. They're a 3 seed. Having PJ will certainly help more than hurt, especially with their tendency to trap the post, but they are no pushover.

If he can give us his normal workload, we are Minneapolis bound. Houston will be a tough, grinder of a game but we should pull away late and win by 6-12 points if we are fully healthy, provided Houston doesn't have a WVU-esque performance from deep. They make a living from trapping the post, getting turnovers, and scoring in transition. Can't trap us in the post with both Reid and PJ in the game.
UNC and Auburn couldn't handle our post play earlier in the season. They have both improved since then, particularly UNC, but we have too...
I expect us to get to Minneapolis, and from there, we will see what happens.
I'll be happy with just getting to another Final Four if it is accompanied with Duke losing along the way.
I think we will still struggle a bit with Houston. They are quick and athletic but they don't have much size. I think we beat them though by 6-8 pts.
I think I would rather play Auburn than the Cheats, not because we can't beat the Cheats, but because of the way the refs protect them.

With P.J.,Our chances have gotten alot better.I think we could have beaten Houston but North Carolina (provided they win) would have been very difficult.
More concerned about the next 2 than I am with the potential F4 matchup. Some of that is probably just HigginsTraumaticSstressDisorder from the 2017 UNC game.

never was worried about PJ this weekend so they are always what they were - Make the final 4. After that anything can happen and you can't get mad if you lose then ( well unless you pull an izzo and Howland and lose by 25)
With PJ we should beat Houston. We could maybe beat them without him but I'll be incredibly disappointed if we lose. I think realistically the worst case scenario is losing in the Elite 8. I think we have final 4 written all over us and depending on who we see, we have just as good a shot as any at a championship. I think the only team we have a slim chance of beating is Duke. Bring on Auburn, UT or UNC again. I think we beat MSU, Michigan or even Virginia. Id love to tango with Gonzaga. But if we face off against Duke in the championship game, I wont be too thrilled. Give me a final 4 appearance and no injuries and I'll be satisfied with this season.

Maybe I have my tinfoil hat on but I'll take my chances w Auburn x3. Especially considering if they stay hot to beat UNC, the concept of equilibrium starts to come into play and they are due a cold night...and our defense is good and setting those conditions against strictly perimeter teams.
I think I'd have to listen to the game vs watch it. I don't know if I could stomach watching him blow calls all over the place in a tight game.

At this stage of the season, consistency of play and good preparation for each opponent are necessities for advancing. If we play well, we win this game. If we don’t play well, then we do not deserve to win.
I feel like with a healthy PJ UK needs to reach at least the Elite Elite for it to be considered a successful season. For it to be considered a great season UK needs to reach at least the Final Four. Then of course winning the whole thing would be the best case scenario possible.
I maybe in the minority here, but I hope unc beats auburn. They are on fire. Plus, playing them 3 times doesn’t bode well for us beating them again. I worry if we have to play them again they will beat us round 3. I would take my chances with the cheats.
Normally I'd agree with you, the NCAA would do anything in their power to guarantee a Duke UNC final if possible....
In the same vein, the NCAA prefer a DUKE UK matchup as opposed to a DUKE Auburn matchup, so in that instance we may get the favorable whistle against Auburn.
