to come to a conclusion, especially when it was against a SWAC team. For now, I'm going to vote the same as my expectations which were improved O, a young team which makes a few mistakes, 4-5 wins.

Hard to tell from just JSU. Next week will tell us a lot. My expectations were rather low and, for right now, they remain the same.

We didn't score 100, but we were WAY better than any Croom team would have been especially on offense. Not once did we look confused, out of place, or incompetent on offense. Yeah too many fumbles in the rain, but still....

How many times would Croom get a holding call and you'd think hell this drive is done. But on Saturday 3rd and 15 was a makeable as 3rd and 3. Yeah, it was JSU. But no way would a Croom team been able to handle that.

Croom would have stopped scoring at 28, thus letting Jackson State score another touchdown, miss the extra point, making the score 28-13.

I thought Tyson Lee would have done better, and that worries me. Ducre's fumbles were unacceptable. I'm also disappointed in O'Neal Wilder and Brandon McRae for not making any plays on a deep ball.

O-lline was what I expected.

Defense was what I expected. Did a great job.

Disappointed in Brauchle for missing the FG's.

puffery, plattitude, and cheap shot. And not really accurate either. Last year's team could not have beaten JSU? How about the team from the year before that won a bowl game? Could it have "handled" JSU? 3rd and 15 is now magically as makable as 3rd and 3? "Not once" did our offense look bad? By what objective standard are we now "WAY better?" Ugly **** imo (your blahblahblah, not our team)

Many of these people, in their rush to vilify all things Croom, let truth and objectivity fly out of the window.

He said Croom's team would not be able to handle 3 and 13 which is true, he did not say a Croom's team would lose, and I agree a 3 and 13 is now more makable.

That is better than last year's percentage of only 32.58 percent. However, our opponents weren't a whole lot better, with a little less than 35.2 percent.

Of course, JSU is not an SEC team . . .

Big worries about the o line and secondary, but I think and hope, mostly hope, that we've got a chance to fix them.

Also excited about the freshman speed at skill positions. Heavens and Bumphis. Great take in by Bumphis on the first td.

I saw a lot of things to be happy about, like not running up the middle 3 times and punting 95% of the time, and I saw plenty of stuff that needs work. Like others have said, I'll wait until after next week to make a judgment.

I think a lot of that post was directed at Croom. Surely no one thinks JSU would have beaten us last year. You realize that we were a few field goals away from being 6 and 6 last year and having Croom back again this year?

The second half just showed how bad it was in the first half. We should've put up 70. The veggie has got to step his game up too. I expected some rust and problems as we "warmed up" but the 30 mins it took basically to score 14 was scary

Worse- I know it was the first game under a new regime but hell we still couldn't score on a short field in the first half and Mullen is already been quoted on depending on his defense to keep him in games. Sounds shockingly familiar huh?
