Selection committee knew it too and still put in teams like Providence and NC St over RU.

That’s why you can’t leave important decisions in the hands of others. Minn loss was crippling.

Well, wasn'tt our resume better this year than last?

Didn't we have an actual win stolen?

Don’t give up a ten point lead in 60 seconds
Penn State had a 13 pt lead with 2:02 left cut to 3 but IU happened to miss the tying 3 with 10 seconds left. Its gross but it happens. Not as bad as losing to Lafayette at home.

The team didn’t “get hosed”. They lost at Minny which really killed them. It’s not on the NCAA, it’s on the team, they did not close the deal. They were very much on the bubble and they lost.
if we're 20-13 are we in?

Well we were 20-13.

Lafayette says hi
Yeah true forgot about that one. Regardless each year is different. You can’t lose to Nebraska at home and blow that Minnesota game to close out the year and expect to see your name called on selection Sunday as a bubble team.

Actually we were 19-14. They were aware of the OSU game. The team wasn’t “screwed”, they did not get it done down the strech. Win against Minny and they are probably in. Terrible loss.

Last years resume didn’t have a Minnesota or Nebraska loss…
Last year's resume was worse, they had quad 4 losses.

Even Ron & Geo have said this year's team has a better resume than last year's when they did a Twitter Space thing a few weeks back.

Yeah maybe. But as a bubble team down the stretch you can’t lose to Nebraska and Minnesota and look as bad as we did and expect to make it. Last year is last year it has nothing to do with this year.

I think we should have been in with our current record and resume. But based on what has been said, it seems like the quad 3 losses really hurt RU. This is why I think the Minn loss was worse than the OSU game which was stolen. I think one less lower quad loss would have helped more.

F YOU REFS FOR STEALING A BID

If we have 20 wins we're in no questions asked
I think you're referring to the OSU game right? Still, what hurt us obviously, was the meltdown we had against Minny. If we hold on and win that game, we would be in the Tourney. Still, the teams they invited like NCS, Arizona St. and Nevada do NOT have as strong resumes that we do. Still no one can deny we had 4 bad quad 3 losses.

Okay let’s get this straightened out. Since the majority of people on this board don’t watch college basketball outside of Rutgers.

Was the Minny loss bad? Yes.

Let’s review some bad losses from teams that got in ahead of us.

ASU:
-Texas Southern (ROAD)

Pitt:
-Florida State (HOME)
-Norte Dame (ROAD)

Nevada:
-Wyoming (ROAD)

Not to mention these teams don’t even come close to playing the same level of competition.

We are better than all of these teams. Throw NC State in the mix as well who doesn’t have a “bad” loss, but doesn’t have good wins.

Yeah it basically pokes large holes in the selection committee statements that they look at the whole resume, look at the NET, blah, blah, blah to decide who's in and seed them.

They took a lot of heat for putting RU in the tournament last year. So they reversed course this year when they clearly were better than several teams they put in.
