If Ole Miss had never recovered from the Nutt years, and were still a 2-5 win per season team, then *** would not even be on a warm seat. I say fact , he has taken us to new heights and the only thing that is keeping all of us from being ecstatic is the envy we feel toward OM. Agree?

Eh. What you are trying to say has some truth, but not quite like you put it. Most people expected us to have a mediocre season this year. The fact that OM appears poised for a good season has a lot of fans in panic mode, but the people in charge of the actual seat warmth will be a little more measured and thoughtful in their decisions. The people here are fans and get overly emotional about MSU sports. There was a thread here last week asking if "you would drink your own piss for a win over auburn."
though some don't like to admit it, both of our fanbases are influenced by what's happening at the othe school. we didn't like being 3-9 but i can promise you msu's and mullen's relative success had an impact in our taking action. whether anybody will admit it or not cohen's getting you guys rolling in baseball is going to impact what ole miss does with bianco. the situation is exactly the same. he's producing the best records we've had in 40 yrs if not ever, and no omaha rankles, but with what cohen did this yr he's gonna have to produce and if the shoe was on the other foot it would be the same.
