With the fall semester coming to an end I think we'll start hearing about guys who are going to transfer. I don't expect any more than usual and I don't see any high profile players getting meaningful snaps transferring other than Towles.

I see
Mikel Horton, Blake Bone, jacob hyde, Denzil Ware are my biggest possibilities
- It would be a crushing blow to lose Ware...we have nothing as an outside pass rush and he at least is a Fr that can grow into that spot.

No sources. Just guessing. But our defensive backfield is fairly young and stacked (relatively speaking). I could see one or two leaving from there.

Four new redshirts and three highly touted freshmen o linemen with only two seniors leaving. I could see some transferring or quitting from there too.

Agree on Horton and Bone. Not sure where Hyde would go. No reason for Ware to transfer. Id be very surprised if he did.

Jacob Hyde strikes me as true Blue all the way. He was the first commit for the 2013 class, and for a long time he was our ONLY commit. I believe the fact that he was an in-state kid was a big reason Stoops kept him in the 2013 class. I just don't see him leaving.

I can't see Ware leaving, and I am doubtful that Horton would leave, but you never know. Bone is a real possibility, but I don't talk to him to know his state of mind on the future of the program and where he fits into to it.

Good point on the offensive line, but I think those transfers will likely come later. After the two deep starts to form and shake out. That's when we might see some transfers from the o-line. The coaches using the o-line rotation may also help UK keep some guys that would normally transfer.

Ok I will expand on REASONS for my possibilities of transfer - First I HAVE ZERO SOURCES - again it is my feelings
Bone- under used- poor game plan by the OC and staff - new recruits may run off
Horton - underused - style of play does not work with OC - lost minutes to S King near end of season
Ware - injuries - I see him getting hurt again (shoulders are HORRIBLE) and going to small school

And all would be a blow

When did Horton lose snaps to King? That's a new one on me. When Boom and Kemp went down in the louisville game we went with a heavy dose of Mikel Horton. King got the majority of his carries for the season in the Charlotte game, because we were waaaay ahead and the coaches were giving everybody reps.

Pure conjecture but will boom and baker both be here? Matt jones said he heard of one other big name we might lose, and im worried its one of these 2...considering boom quit or almost quit or whatever, and baker has been mentioned by many as a lockeroom cancer, i cant help be paranoid. Either woild be a blow but we absolutely cannot lose Boom imo!

Transferring at mid year makes little sense for a football player unless you know for sure where you are going and enroll there for the spring semester. In such case you will get a spring session in at your new school but it still takes the current spring and the next fall semester to satisfy the residency requirement. IOW, you will miss next season whether you transfer now or at the end of spring semester. This is why most football transfers occur after the spring semester rather than after the fall semester. Towles situation is different as he will be a mid year graduate with remaining eligibility thus eligible to play immediately at a new school that offers post graduate studies not offered at UK.

I agree unless they transfer down or to a JUCO.

Of these, my guess would be baker. He has all the talent but it seemed he mailed it in after the Auburn game. Boom at least played really hard in games that he played in and would have had a great year if he didn't hurt his elbow. Still think if he didn't get hurt against UL, UK would have won. He already ran for 40 yards in the first quarter and was gashing them on every play. Again, just my guess but I think he stays. He seems to like it here and the fans obviously love him and yes he is the one you cannot lose!

Is that the same matt jones that heard Stoops was making multiple coaching changes soon after the season ended???

While it would be a blow to lose some of the players mentioned, you also can't let certain players hold the program hostage and create dissension. It's a delicate balance. Best case, they all buy in and get on the same page.

God I would give anything if we started the 2nd half of the UL game up 24-7 and fed the ball to King 20X times instead of the garbage offense we went with which certainly included a bunch of slow of acceleration Horton

In other words it's your sh!thouse rumor that has no foundation.
NOT A RUMOR - I'll do this slow for you......so you can see that I never said I HEARD - I READ or anything to the such

"I see" (this prefaces meaning I think)
"Mikel Horton, Blake Bone, jacob hyde, Denzil Ware are my biggest possibilities"

Try to read it as it is written not as your mind is paraphrasing it...In no place are there innuendos or rumors - nor are there any statements to reflect that I heard or such....so not a SH!THOUSE rumor but one persons thoughts on possibilities....DAYUMMM!!

I see your point...but I just got that Coach Ben Crenshaw type of feeling and it is not as good as his was - mine is more a fearful one

Your "biggest possibilities" based on what? Trick knee, corn on your big toe.....or a "gut" feeling that's actually just gas?

I don't know of any definite transfers but the ones that concern me the most would be the smart ones that want to play for a good coach, win some games, and go to a bowl game before they graduate. Those are the ones that I'm afraid we'll lose.

Seems to be a matter of coaches losing control of the locker room, according to some money people. Evidently according to them ,there will be either buy in by certain players or they wil be purged!

He didn't lose minutes to King. That is BS.
